Last night all the judges were being overly sentimental and even Simon was nice to Chris and all the others.

This is a week of giving back.

Supposed to be something shocking.

NO ONE goes home this week and two will go home next week.

I was looking forward to the elimination! Well, I wonder what the "shock" is? Is Paula going to announce that she is leaving the show? What is your take on this King Frog? Would Paula be silly enough to leave?

I have to agree!! It just isn't the kind of atmoshphere to send someone home--I think they didn't tell you last night for fear they wouldn't get the votes coming in. I have thought this from the start! I think the kids might suspect as well but not entirely, thats why the performances were mediocre!!

I mean in a setting like that--How can they carry out the usual ritual. It won't work--I think the votes will carry over though.

I can't believe they'd pass the elimination. I'd have to believe there would be alot of p*****d off people who spent time voting. And, if they were going to spare it tonight, why'd they like everybody but Lakisha? If everybody was gonna be spared, seems like they'd have been positive about everyone.

I think the shock is gonna be the "duet" that's happening. Don't know who, but it's gonna be "shocking"! The drama of it all!!!!

Eileenacanadian

my guess is it's either Madonna or Jennifer Hudson

how could they not eliminate anyone tonight it would throw the show off? Next Tuesday they will be singing new songs that they learned. It would be cruel to have someone learn a song when their number is up already?

Elvis Costello maybe.

I just read that the "surprise" is a two night show of Idol gives back. So I am guessing last night wasn't part of the two nights. It will be obviously tonight and then again on Tuesday which will then leave the elimination for Wed of next week. Now this is my assumption since last night had really nothing to do with the charity show, except that the songs were inspirational.

Eileenacanadian
04-25-2007, 02:09 PM
Andy would be an excellent surprise!

There is only one Krispy Kreme here and it's a 45 mn drive for me. I used to read about Krispy Kreme in the magazines with you USA folks having this dynamite donut place. When it first opened the line up was massive and it stayed that way for over a month. It took me over an hour to get to the counter. The wait was worth it. No donut has ever tasted so good! Slurp, smack!

I will send you a pm to try to explain how to load a picture on a post.

People watch the show to see who gets the boot. They're not going to 'eliminate' the eliminations, believe it.

Perhaps to some. But, that's because of the theme, not because of their performances. There really wasn't a bad performance last night.

I hope not, that would be pretty cruel to the public. I'm all for charity, but not on elimination night. I saw enough charity for the past 6 weeks if you know what i mean.

Couldn't agree more.
The show is finally back on track.

When the series started, I thought that it would be between Lakisha and Melinda. However right now the big winner to me is Jordin. She has rockeded forward.

My Heart May Go On, But My Ears Can't Take It!

Tonight, American Idol is planning an extravaganza called Idol Gives Back with proceeds going to various charities. All that is great. Pink is supposed to be performing which I am looking forward to. I read that Celine Dion will be doing a virtual duet with Elvis which sounds, great.

Ugh. Celine is soooo 1998 and Elvis is soooo 1957. Can it get any more corny than this?

I don't know, Ryan said that this was going to be the most shocking elimination in Idol history. Oh, oh, does that mean the Melinda is going home. No one else would really shock me, and Jordan's not going anywhere. Is it possible?????

How could he know THAT unless the show is fixed? Must be something else... like everyone is safe.

LouLou
04-25-2007, 07:35 PM
It must be that everyone's safe, which isn't really a shocking result as he originally suggested. But, I'm certain that must be it, because all the Idols are smiling during this otherwise very tense time. Which means they also know the results. How very disappointing.

I don't think so. Did you see Jordin's face - and everyone else's? And then the tears - of disappointment and then of relief.

Ryan, I would think, is the ONLY one who knows beforehand.
