I realize we're all entitled to our own opinions and our own tastes but I find Paris to be irritating, mini-talented and beyond arrogant.
Who is this fan base?
Chris and Taylor will go till the end ... my guess will be Chris winning. :beerchug:

Lisa Tucker, Bucky or Kellie will go next.

Paris is going to be around for a while. (Just realize that I'm not a big fan, either).
She's young, cute and "non-threatening" to the Idol voters. She definitely has remarkable vocal talent and strong showmanship. She's very well regarded with fans of Kevin Covais and Chris Daughtry alike.
That said- I don't see "Idol" in any of her performances thus far.

i think that paris is riding on the coattails of her mother and grandmother. she will be here for a long time though. i actually liked her performance last night though. she did a good job with that beyonce song.

I hope PARIS doesn't start singing too many "booty" songs.

]I hope Katherine Wins![/SIZE]!
Chris is booooorrrrinnng! He can only sing rock songs and even then he is just o.k.
I like Rock Music NOT Chris D.
I would not buy any of his cd's and don't know anyone that would. I am a mother of teens and they are not impressed with him.
We had a teen party the other night, none of the teens liked Chris!!! Male and Female
LOVE Katherine!!!!

And on top of everything else she has a strong resemblance to Gary Coleman wearing a dress.

Oh, goodness...my eyes hurt whenever I see one of cinnamocha's inane & glaringly obvious posts...& I haven't even been here that long.
Anyway, I do like Paris a lot. She can sing & perform really well. Plus, I think she's quite stylish. But she has a really big personality & with people like that, you either hate 'em or love 'em.
I've been labeled arrogant for being confident, so in a sense, I know how people feel about Paris. I am, however, not quite as *ahem* BOLD as our dear friend, cinnamocha.

Folks- let's ease off on the name calling and comments that could potentially lead to racial connotations on this thread. I like the discussion, but let's reign it in before we get out of hand. :)

Yes, I will say that I wish someone was booted off, but these comments are very mean. What if they read them. It's one thing to say..."I dont like the way someone acts or sings" but to attack things that a person CAN'T change is truely wrong. You can look all through my posts......never do I attack..looks, weight, etc.

:lsvader: Cinnamocha and Frank, those are straight racist comments and you need to keep them to yourselves. Your the reason why talent doesn't win the competition, too blinded by a racist mentality on what beauty is and isn't. I bet neither of you can sing your way out of paper bag and look like the bottom of my shoe, why else would you say such hateful things to a child.

Some people are so birdbrained, they can't even separate race from vocal ability.
Since when did the color of your skin determine whether or not you're talented enough to stay on in a competition like Idol?
Three words, cinnamocha: GET. A. LIFE.
Hope you got that. I did them specially in your favorite style too - big, ostentatious & gnawingly irritating.

Son of Simon, will you be deleting the post with the racial slur? It's truly worse than cursing someone out and I'm not a huge fan of too much censorship, but that is way over the top.
On Topic: Paris bugs the heck out of me. I believe her fan base belongs to her grandmother. Yes the girl can sing but to quote Simon, she is precocious and I totally agree. She could well end up in the top 3.

My two cents worth about Paris--Let me begin by saying that she is not one of my favorites, but at her young age I am raeally impressed. She can belt out jazz, R&B, pop and she has a real dynamic stage presence. I think her youthful optimism, her family connections, and her true happiness and getting on the stage is annnoying to some people.
I don't think she will win, but I think she will be someone that we hear about in the future. I think some of the things I have read about her are mean spirited and to this I say --CHILL OUT PEOPLE! I wasn't that in tune with myself and where I wanted to go in my life at her age, and if most of you are honest you weren't/aren't either.
I don't think she is the top talent in the competition, but she is going to be around for awhile.

If you read all my comments you would know they are not racist! I have commented on every contestant! How on earth could that be considered racist? I never single out people because of color or religion. I think the word racist gets thrown out to easily when one can't think of anything else to say!

Right...& you dislike Mandisa because...?
Maybe you're right. Maybe you aren't racist.
You're just size-ist. I don't know if there's a proper term referring to people who discriminate because of size but you know what I mean.
Being racist is just plain dumb & narrow-minded.
Being size-ist isn't very rational, either.
Take your pick.

I don't like Mandisa's singing voice. Simple as that!
Katherine, Paris, and Kellie sound much better than Mandisa when they sing!

I aggree with your opinion of Paris. She needs to go home this week!
I really like Ace and hope that Ace and Katherine go to end, and that Katherine wins!!!
I never said I didn't like anyone because of there race! You either have me confused with someone else, or have poor reading comprehension!
I have commented on all of the contestants How could that be considered discriminatory??

Yeah, I'd say so. ;)
And sorry if I find that statement of yours more than a little difficult to believe, cinnamocha. But you've criticized Mandisa time & again for being big. So, yeah. Whatever.

Paris was good at the bigging of the show. But anymore she acts too fake on stage.. can't wait for her to be voted off.

I don't think she was fake last night. She just went up there and did her thing.

On the contrary, I found it boring.
I really liked it when she did Fever, although it was more dramatic than Peggy Lee's but she did it her way & it was good.
