Since we are all in the same boat (living each week Tuesday to Tuesday, waiting for the next mind-blowing performance), I thought it might be fun to reminisce on the best of the best performances so far. Here are some of mine, I'd like to hear some of yours....

We're only judging performances here, so it is possible to list a contestant more than once for multiple performances.

#5 Elliot: "If You Really Love Me"

#2 Katharine: "Until You Come Back to Me"
#1 Mandisa: "I'm Every Woman"

These are performances of real star caliber. I'd gladly watch them on TV or listen to them on the radio over and over again. This is the way we need to be thinking about performances when we're voting for our Idol.

As you can see- I listed two of Mandisa's performances in the top 5. She has demonstrated that she can literally take over a show on any given night. Her performances have been that good that they would actually prevent other contestants from being listed here.

good selection Son of Simon... we have pretty much same choices... but ill have to put Kaths performance on #1 :p i was listening to Kaths version and Aretha's version of Until you come back to me.. i think kath's a white version of aretha or somthin :p

I must be getting old... but whatever Chris preformed 2-3 shows ago was just great! Can someone list all the songs he has done it would help me out. ;)

My faves are Katharine and Elliott and I don't think anyone else comes close to them. Chris is the best performer, but certainly not the best vocally. Mandisa and Paris shout too damn much. Bucky is talentless and I still think the judges were smoking crack to pick him to the top 24. He should have never made it past Will Makar, David Radford, Gideon, and certainly should have left before Kevin!!! I enjoyed Bobby Bennett over Bucky! Lisa has talent, but has been utterly boring! Ace only did good that first week for me singing Father Figure, and while Butterflies was entertaining, the rest plain sucked!! Taylor has an ok voice, but watching him perform makes me want to cringe with his jerky seizure like movements. He's a little too out there for me. He usually ends up shouting or saying "yeah" too much when he can't hit a note and he should stick to obscure bars and parties, not being american idol. Lastly, the WORST Kellie Pickler. She is a phony, she gives southerners a bad name and she has everyone in the world buying her act, but she is not that clueless and she's not talented anyway. She only sounded good last week singing Patsy Cline, but all the other weeks were just rough sounding and showed how lacking in talent she is. Being cute is not what this competition is all about. Katharine is beautiful, smart, and talented. Let's let someone deserving win for a change people, and not blonde dingbat with no talent! I also wish Elliott would make it far because he has the best sounding voice, he just hasn't really put himself out there to show everyone his skills, because he's overshadowed by Ace's good looks, Chris's rocker attitude, and Taylor's weird spastic dance style. I think people need to stop voting for the cutest people, and realize this is a TALENT COMPETITION not a BEAUTY PAGENT.

I believe that the Best three singers are, in no particular order, Chris, Mandisa, & Elliott. The others are weak compared to this trio. :awink:
