IdolMe2, you are hot if that is your real myspace pic you have on your myspace page.
Oh, you mean judging groups? That hasn't happened yet.
They all sang a Latin group number together at the beginning of the show. Oh, and Simon said he sincerely meant to compliment Sanjaya last night, and he slept well...
But I'll keep you posted about the groups. Or TaylorHicksRocks will...
lol... THR, didn't mean to speak for you--but you're always such a great commentator!

Because Fox doesn't disclose the final vote tallies, we only have their word on who gets what. Because Fox doesn't disclose the final vote tallies, neither you nor I would know if who Fox reports as getting the lowest number of votes is correct or fabricated. Likewise, we have no idea whether DialIdol is correct or not. There simply isn't enough information to make any determination.

8:30 am here Laraine! I'm just finishing my 2nd cup of coffee.
I was wondering that too, Sligh would have slipped on the Latin theme I'm pretty sure. He might have been able to pull off an old Santana song, since he would have heard it a lot I would think, but overall... yeah, it would have been murderous for him! (and us!)

Sorry, I keep forgetting about the time difference, its nearly 2pm here, and I just finished my lunchbreak, spent the whole hour on youtube watching Martina McBride, I'm so excited she'll be on the show next week. :) I think she'll work really well with them.
Actually, the two Chris' might have had to squabble over Smooth, cos I can hear Sligh singing that one.... I guess every week, its a banana skin for one of them though. I can't begin to imagine what Sanjaya will come up with next week.....

laraine
04-12-2007, 09:19 AM
yeh, particularly when you consider that cocoa is a bean, and beans are vegetables, so therefore when you're eating chocolate, you're really eating vegetables.. I like that logic! I do love white chocolate though, as milk or dark chocolate tends to trigger migrane in me. :(

Well my migrane attacks are quite severe, I get head pain so bad I could thump it against a brick wall, and they make me  so as much as I like chocolate, it doesn't like me, which is a real pain cos I love dark chocolate. White chocolate is okay though. :)

Milk chocolate gives me severe migraines to the point that I am in bed throwing up with and ice pack on my head.....I can eat Dark Chocolate though...I don't have the same reaction. If I feel anything like a headache I don't eat any chocolate or drink any wine because chances are I will suffer....

Its horrid isn't it Kim? I remember once coming home from work, I felt so rough I asked for the car to be stopped, and I got out and laid on the pavement, I must have looked like an old drunk or something, but I just didn't know what else to do. Milk chocolate or dark does it to me, so I can only guess its the cocoa bean that does it. Cheese does too sometimes, which is a large bummer, cos I love a big old slab of cheddar! lol

Yeas it is a bummer...I used to get them more often in Nevada but the doctors are much better here and give me medication which I take everyday to stop the migraine.....Cheese is a big trigger especially smoked cheese and meats.....chocolate and wine are big triggers too..

its really not as bad as it sounds! Its made from the soya bean. You can get quorn mince, which I make into spaghetti bolognese, quorn pieces which you can chuck in a wok with stir fry veggies, quorn burgers, sausages, just about everything really. It didnt exsist when I first became veggie, 24 years ago, so I'm pretty grateful for it. Sorry I was tardy replying to this, I was on my way home from work. :)

That's all right. The US version says it is soy free, is made from a fungus that was originally discovered in the UK and I guess is super high in protein. I might actually try this. It is all frozen here, do they only have it frozen there?
PS. I loves my meat! And it is good to eat too.

Im not keen on tofu either, but quorn is ok. Generally, its in the chiller cabinet over here, that is not froze, but refrigerated. Once you get it home though you can freeze it. :) The key is to mix stuff in with it, veggies, mushrooms, onions and sauce to spice it up a bit, or else it can be somewhat bland.
Oh I eat meat, just not the animal variety...

Well its the boiling the silk worms alive thing I can't get my head round, but I only eat free range eggs, that I get from the farm where I see that they are truly free range and not just in limited space. I don't know if you have battery farming over there, but they do here and its horrendous, 1000s of chickens all stuck in a very small space with no room to breathe, much less anything else. I have soya milk instead of dairy too.

Oh my !! They boil them alive? I had no idea! Yeah, we have battery farming here too, though I am not sure they call it that. I only buy free range eggs too because of that. I came that close to buying soy milk at the store the other day. How close to real does it taste? Could I sub it in a recipe and still have a fluffy cake?

Silk Production Causes Painful Death for Insects
The so-called “silkworm” is actually a domesticated insect who, in nature, goes through the same stages of metamorphosis—egg, larva, pupae, and adult—that all moths do.(6) Silk is derived from the cocoons of larvae, so most of the insects raised by the industry don’t live past the pupae stage, as they are steamed or gassed alive in their cocoons.(7) Approximately 3,000 silkworms die to make every pound of silk.(8)
Pharmaceutical companies have taken an interest in these insects, too, because they are perceived as inexpensive and easy to raise and can be genetically engineered to produce silk that contains human collagen.(9) Silkworms have also been transgenically modified to spin fluorescent-colored silk.(10)
The military and medical communities have been testing on spiders, hoping to harness the strength and flexibility of spider silk into suture thread and to create a fabric that could replace Kevlar.(11) If they are kept together in captivity, however, spiders succumb to stress-induced cannibalism; 400 spiders are needed to spin enough silk to create a square yard of cloth, so farming spiders has not been a profitable venture.(12) Instead, scientists are experimenting on goats, cows, and hamsters by inserting spider-silk genes into their cells in an attempt to create proteins similar to those of spider silk.(13) Transgenic cloned goats, for example, produce milk that contains silk proteins, which have been used in fibers sold under the name “BioSteel.”(14,15) The military continues to fund this research, even though it has yet to produce a product that is commercially viable (it takes 600 gallons of milk to produce a single bulletproof vest).(16)
Thats what I found out about silkworms from the PETA website.... not nice is it?
With regard to the soya milk, different brands taste different, I use Alpro, which tastes rather like ice cream to drink, I generally have it on my cereal for breakfast, haven't used it in cooking so I don't know what results you would get.

I like soy milk in my smoothies that I make during the summer it is usually my lunch....a lot of frozen fruit soy milk and juice...yummie

Ok, spider farming is going a bit too far. I'm sorry, kill all the spiders. Please. I am an arachnaphobe by the way. Goats crossed with spiders? Momma! That's a horror movie from the 50's isn't it?
I think I need some ice cream. It's 85 out.

If you are ever into some girl girl stuff, let me know. I will come visit you.
Do you ever think before you post?
You don't know who you are talking to, what if this is an under age person?
But even if it wasn't, you don't make Gay oriented comments to people on a forum about American Idol. Keep that crap to yourself.
We do have many underage people on this site, and they shouldn't be subjected to that kind of conversation.
That's two sexually based comments by you, I wonder how old you are. I'm guessing under 18, if so, you need to learn how to be a lady.

Oh my goodness! They put egg white in it! That isn't vegan! Laraine, did you know that?
I dont eat Milky Bar Sligh, I haven't since I became veggie/vegan when I was 21. Green & Blacks produce a vegan friendly white chocolate, thank goodness!

I don't worry about spiders either, if I find one in the bath, I wrap it in a towel take it downstairs and put it out the back door, back to safety. Don't like those big black and yellow hairy monsters though, thats taking it too far.. lol

They are probably not even a female,
probably some 36 year old guy who lives in his mother's basement
sitting in front of his computer eating ho ho's and typing while in his underware
that he hasn't changed in 3 days...
