This makes no sense whatsoever. An entire call center is not needed to count votes. With minimal software in place, it might take a handful of people at most.

Secondly, there is nothing that prevents Fox & Idol executives from making the choice themselves as to who goes & who doesn't. All they have to maintain is the illusion that votes count.
