They raised the age limit last year, which I think was a pretty good idea. There's plenty of talented people out there that are a little older that haven't been "discovered" yet. I know of a few myself that are even too old for AI. So, what do you think the age limit should be.

I'd say 32.

Frankly I think it should be capped at 28.
By the time skills are honed and the singer get underway, it's a 2 year gone which makes them 30. In the eyes of recording companies, they would like to tap on to your fame for a good number of years (say 10 years) and that makes the singer 40 years old...
Generally, humans don't want to listen to 40 year old squeal...:D

Hmmmmm I think the age limit should be 26.The younger the better. Who wants to really see old people up there singing.I don't.American Idol needs to be for the young people. But no younger than 16.I am looking for star quality. So I can go to Las Vegas an see them on stage.

I don't want to see bald men singing either. Young men are fine. :D

I would cap it around 30 i think. My impression of the show is it's for new "young" tallent. Not people still trying to make it.

age isn't really an issue.

I think it should be mandatory that all the ladies are hot though...just my opinion haha

My top limit would be 30. If they haven't got it together by then, they never will. Some people just wait longer to get that confidence going.
