Heavily spammed, and finally now on posting only after approval.

http://forums.guysebastian.com.au/index.php?showtopic=15551&st=45

However, I've recently (last few days) come across BIG problems, which some of you may not have faced. Bypass 'ectasy's comments (LOL)

These are real, and could be nasty. They're pretty good hackers and just recently a board friend and I have come across some major hacking and other stuff which forced us to take some steps. Most has been fixed, or is under way, but not all. And naturally - not 'backwards' - but from now on.

Anyhow - its interesting, and apparently no others have come across these problems before (Myspace) but then, I often make friends

ROFL! The others tend to stay in their little groups - or make a myspace and post once every two months. I flit around.

Thing is

make sure you are logged on
and DON'T LOG ON AGAIN, whatever message comes up.

If in doubt - change password - NOT by just adding the next digit either,

I suggest perhaps your mother's age now? Something that only you will know. I heard someone added their age!! You've already put that on the page!

AND email addy. I just had one come through to my email address (see the thread) and although I made light of it - the only place it could have come from was that area.

I've just changed my email address.

yep, can't reiterate strong enough there. I've made some good friends on there but those two really suck

efstay has now changed her name to stefkinz

would not trust that myspace for anything - whether or not the actual person is okay - might be, but certainly her page is hacked and the fact she's now changed her name...? I was on there from the moment she posted. It was interesting in that ..j a i ... spammed (that was the first hacker I found, on who's page you were supposed to log in even though you were already logged in) and then efstay came on with 2 'fan type' messages and as there'd been spam galore, I started doing my thing re Guys concerts etc (took them from the Sony page) and IN BETWEEN there she spammed between my bits (like I'm say there were 17 spams so I felt there was a bit of work to do to warn and also make it like a marketing page) so she spammed between my bits and then obv. noticed my warnings so comes on "OMG my mom will kill me" etc and etc twice. I found that pretty strange.

For one thing. How often do you 'comment' on a page, and then hang about on the comments area? Dunno about you, but I rarely if ever. Certainly not for the space of around 6 comments!

Plus we dont use 'mom' in our terminology. Her excuse then was that she'd been sent to the US for a couple of years schooling.

I looked at her page, did a think, blocked her and found HER page hacked too as I got a request again to log in. These 'log in requests' are GOOD. Unless you are on your toes, they look like the genuine article.

Check the urls at the top of your page, please. Not THEIRS - yours. On their log in requests they will put the genuine myspace bit - but at the top of YOUR page it will come up with the actual area that you're in.

and idolchat?
LOL - your name had better not be mud.

ROFL!
In case anyone wonders. MY PC is my pc. Its not connected to anything, I can have a great time, and I don't do personal stuff on it. Don't even have an address book - thats in a hard copy. SO I remain pretty protected. But I do recommend never using your home email addy on sites. Use a neutral one
