let me begin by saying i am a melinda doolittle fan. i believe she can, should and will win ai6. that being said i want to comment on tonights castoff stephanie edwards. although i didn't see stephanie's audition, in the last few weeks she has impressed me very much. in my humble opinion, she was the "CLASS ACT" of this season. a lot of people have compared her to this or that person, but the only person i find to compare her to is the great dionne warwick. dionne never had the chops of diana ross or ella fitzgerald, but she had a class that caused you to respect her, never forget her and always love her. stephanie, if you or anyone who knows you; reads this i hope they will pass on that in nashville tennessee there is one man who believes in you and will look forward to buying your albums and seeing you in concert. tonight you are gone from american idol, but i truly believe you will be around this music industry for years to come... and i for one, will look forward to it.

Make that two men who look foward to buying her albums. I'm disguisted that she got cast off, but i have ot say i saw it coming. Idol konws who they want to do good and who they want to do bad in the show as soon as the season starts. Look how much exposure otheers who are still on the show got in the early phases of the show (ex. Sonjaya, Haley, Chris R., etc etc.). Now compare that to the amount of times you saw the likes of Stephanie Edwards, AJ, Leslie, etc. Probably didnt see them at all until they made the top 24. SHe was unable to develop a fanbase during the audition process, which aparently is important when voting is involved in the show. Her killer performance on top 24 night got her a small following, including us aparently. Since then shes brought it every week, in my opinion, but the judges just couldnt help but compare her to the two big voices. The public listened to the negative comments and didnt vote for her. Annoying if you ask me, but hopefully she'll make it without the show. I sure hope so, and cant wait for her first song.

My hat goes off to you. You are a great singer and in my mind there was an great injustice done to you. Please do not give up on your career, because you got talent. You should have least been in the top four, or the new American Idol. I can't believe that they kept Sanjaya over you. America need a rude awakening. This show should be base on a talent contest and not a good looking contest, even thuough you are pretty, but at least you can sing. Your parents should be pround of you, God bless and keep the faith.
