View Full Version : One thing I have got to say...

Whenever the contestants finish their song and its time for the judges to have their say; Simon always keeps silent while the other judges say their piece, however Randy and Paula always open their mouths when its Simon's turn to talk. That obnoxious behavior is to quote him "Really Annoying" ...and it is even more annoying to watch... why can't Paula and Randy wait until after he's finished speaking before they jump in with their two cents after all he did give them that courtesy... or don't they have any manners?

I agree. Those guys are pissing me off watching them, its ridiculous. Shut up and let Simon talk. Paula has always been like this and Randy is getting worse. Do you think this is all part of the show?

I totally agree. Simon listens while the others speak, but then they interrupt him. The way Paula and Randy behave is obnoxious. Paula is the worst.
Here's the other thing about Paula. She never expresses an original thought, rather totally parrots everything Randy says. Often she uses the same words! And if not the same words, then the spirit. And if she tries to come up with her own words, she stammers like someone brain dead. What is wrong with her?!?!
She used to at least have a unique position. She was always the one being generous and taking up for the contestants. Now she's just a bad copycat.

I did notice that Paula was on her best behavior last night, and I saw Simon tap her shoulder once and she looked straight ahead. I think he agitates her. I also seem that Randy was a little angry with Simon, cause he was telling the 2 contestants that they are getting the first bus home.

Dog....dude....listen man....dog....dude...what's going down man.....
Proof that Randy Jackson is as easily replaced as finding a 10 second voice-recorder.
Paula Abdul- the commensurate cheerleader. She has to be- when has anyone credited her with any measurable vocal talent? If she likes her own records- of course she'll love any Idol contestant.
These two represent the same ignorant masses that think Tom Cruise is a good actor and Harry Potter is something original. The show needs them because they identify with those who would interrupt someone telling the truth.
Simon represents what people are really thinking, just too polite to say. He understands that the best way to anger the dullards in the American audience is to speak the truth, and even the areas where he's polite seems to stir the herd. Paula and Jackson's constant interrupting makes me embarrassed as an American that the British judge is the only insightful and behaved one up there.

We (our household) call it "truth time" when it's Simon's time to speak... sure he can be rude.. he can be down right mean but I agree with him 99% of the time.
Fun Fact: At Disney's California Adventure (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/parks/landing?name=DisneysCaliforniaAdventureLandingPage ) they is an Aladdin (http://www.themeparkinsider.com/reviews/disney's_california_adventure/aladdin/) play where at one point the genie from Aladdin says to the villain "why are you so mean... are you a related to Simon Callow." Even Disney thinks he's mean. LOL

I also agree that they should wait until Simon is finished. As for Paula I don't know why she is even there. She never has anything to say. She repeats herself all the time. Just listen to her comments. She has no brain.
I think it is mostly an act on all of their parts. I don't think they take each other seriously at all. It's all show business. I like all three opinions on the show....If they were all like each other there wouldn't be a show.

Good point. I see the role of all three judges, I just choose to despise the two that lack credibility or thought behind their comments and actions.

Not going to be that different. Although they will all sing Stevie Wonder songs, they will stick to their power points. Chris will sing a rock song, :beerchug: Taylor will stay in his realm and keep it Joe Cockeresque. :beerchug: I think Bucky has a tough chore with the song that he chose. A popular Stevie Wonder song, but does he have the range. He may be able to pull it off, but I don't know.
