It took me a while to think of this and this is just off the top of my head but here goes:
Just some random off-the-cuff thoughts looking back at the season...
* I think this may have been the best season of AI so far
* It definately was the best batch of themes this season
* I really wish that in the future they would have at least one week of 'contestants choice' theme early in the season
* I'm waiting patiently for my 'Bo Bice & SugarMoney' EP i ordered...
* I miss Nadia....
* The finale was actually the best so far. I like the idea of 'The Idol's idols' but the star power was quite weak. Bo w/ Skynard did kick a#% though
* I have to admit it that i'm impressed with Simon's ability to pick the winner quite early in the season. I don't know if I agree with him, but he obviously know's the general population's taste
* I'm curious to see what Carrie's CD is like. She's telling everyone she will be making a true country CD, but when those producers get their hands on her, it will be interesting to see what is actually on that CD.
* Bo, be firm and persistent. Clay was able to make a "Clay CD". take your time, write or find the right songs, and make a true "Bo CD". You are a star, you will outsell Carrie.
* Bo. Do NOT under any circumstances make a CD full of covers. Be yourself, not Karaoke-Bo.
* Finally, as much as i wanted to see Bo be crowned American Idol, i think after the fact he's is better off in the #2 spot in terms of the star-making power of his debut CD. I think AI would have been better off with Bo winning, but oh well. I'm not certain about Simon's prediction of the selling power of Carrie, but then again - WHAT DO I KONW?!
Everyone have a great summer and maybe by Christmas we'll all have the #1 CD in the country, Bo's debut!
