Wasn't it nice to watch those two "LOUD" mouthed brothers get kicked off American Idol last night. :yelrotflm They should have been kicked off much earlier because they were simply "LOUD" and annoying. But they weren't. They should have been cut after the one brother challenged Simon on Tuesday an threatened to quit, than begged forgiveness to get back on. But they weren't. All the while these two "Loud" mouths didn't "get it", and kept on yakking.
And yesterday it was revealed that these two were wanted in Ga. for writing bad checks and a couple of other felony warrants. :2gunsfiri
Priceless!!!
I mean how stupid can you be to appear on national TV when you have warrants out for your arrests?
Unfortunately there are a few female "LOUD" mouths that got thru anyway, but I suspect their time is short. What these girls don't understand is that while the are "separating" themselves from some others by trying to be "cute" with "challenging and confrontational" remarks to Simmon and the other judges, most people will see that behavior as "granstanding" or plain ol' "irritating". They need to just shut up and sing. You'll get your "camera time" if you have talent. If you do not you may get "camera time" but you'll just end up annoying the audience and judges. The very people who can and will vote you off.
Shut up and Sing.
We all know one of the "secondary" reasons some contestants go on that show is to purely get "camera time" to further other "media" carreer goals. Many of them correctly realize that their voices are "average" at best, but want to stay in the show biz industry. So they figure by making a splash or doing something outrageous, that they can get an extra 10 minutes on-air which will land them a gig as a "personality" or something similar on a show like Entertainment tonight.
While that's a noble goal, and a legimate way to "use" the show to your advantage, it backfires on most people. What many of these contestants don't realize (like the two stupid brothers) is that people (middle America) doesn't want to listen to "LOUD", finger waving, head bobbing, finger snapping, ****y twenty somethings.
Your best chance to land a "personality" gig, is to be articulate, kind and cute. Paula Abdul, although very talented, landed her career changing position on Idol as a judge, strictly because she possesses all three of those qualities in abundance.
There's an old saying that goes "You can catch more flies with "honey" than you can with "vinegar". Sweet vs Acid. Sweet wins "over" every time.
The "angry" I've been "disrespected" thing only works in Hip Hop, and most people are tired of that. Especially middle America. That is 80% of the country. The very people who watch that show

Another reason why I think that show is absolute garbage is the way that I hear about them kicking people off the show for having a criminal record of some sort. That is absolute bullsh_it to do something like that in the music industry. Usually something like that gives someone more of an edge and interesting lifestyle but to disqualify them for prior arrests of convictions is unfair to someone's career and their talent. Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes people get falsely arrested for bogus charges that they don't have the money to fight hard enough to beat the case.
Tex-
Are you applying for the "host" job on Soul Train?
While what you say is very true, it is very true in very "FEW" cases. The way those boys talked and talked and talked and talked........They're con men. If they didn't talk so much I would say exactly what you are saying. But they talked "WAY TOO MUCH ...........Like people trying to hide something. It was like they thought they were "getting paid by-the-word", on how many sentences they could utter. They couldn't say enough; fast enough....
I'm not convicting them. But the truth will come out.
Does anyone want to bet me on the results of their trial ???
Oh how the truth get's in the way of our idealism........

Dear Philosopher General,
Your cerebral musings seem more fitting on a sociological message board. You seem to be a very intelligent individual.
Which begs the question, why? :2gunsfiri

Yes. I just want the often "misguided" youth of this country to understand the motivations of many of these contestants. They should realize these things before they invest in these people emotionally and financially.
