View Full Version : Ann Coulter: John Edwards Gay?

Ann Coulter inferred that John Edwards is a homosexual. She used
a differrent word.
Matt Drudge (an internet news star) said "Hugs, kisses to the cheek, affectionate touching of the face, caressing of the back, grabbing of the arm, fingers to the neck, rubbing of the knees...John Kerry and John Edwards can't keep their hands off each other!" That was during the 2004 campaign.

Some say it's common knowledge in Washington that Edwards is homosexual.
I don't know and I don't care. But Coulter is very funny.

And now Howard Dean is demanding GOP candidates denounce Coulter for what she said. I have 3 words for him: 'NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!" Coulter is very smart and seldom wrong. She calls them as she sees them:

"I'm a Christian first and a mean-spirited, bigoted conservative second, and don't you ever forget it. Christianity fuels everything I write. Being a Christian means that I am called upon to do battle against lies, injustice, cruelty, hypocrisy—you know, all the virtues in the church of liberalism."

I think she's brilliant!

Didn't you know THR? ALL the Christians nowadays are mean spirited bigots. That's the new Christianity!

Kill the evil muslims, dump the illegals back over the border, along with the kids they birthed here in the US, sling arrows and mud at anyone who disagrees with your narrow point of view.

That's what Jesus would do if he were here today. Heck, he'd be taking bribes from oil companies and killing innocents in the name of God.

I wish these fools would read what they are typing before they hit the "Post" button...

I don't think so, the gay voting block has a bit of money behind it. If Edwards is smart, he will distance himself but not so much as to offend the gay community.

The Rainbow Connection:
Kermit: Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it,
And look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

All of us under its spell,
We know that it's probably magic...

... Have you been half asleep? And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
... Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm s'posed to be...
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

Hillary's people are determined to get her elected no matter what they have to do. They're the ones that started the muslim story even tho everyone in IL knew he was muslim. Hillary's people are the ones digging up everything on the Repub candidates too. I mean really, who cares if Romney's greatgreatgreat.....grandfather had 12 wives? I don't. And I don't care about Barack HUSSEIN Obama's ancestors having slaves either.

Here's another one I like.

He's a...

Gay factory, worker from the south,
He'll take what you pee out of and put it in his mouth.

He works all day with a great big smile
and he carries a large lunch pail,
and after work, its off to the bar, where he meets his
boyfriend Dale.

They love the songs, love to dance, (hey)
sometimes without wearin' pants, (ho)
come on boys lets take the chance,
we'll all change our names to Lance.

everybody...

He's a gay factory, worker from the south,
He'll take what you pee out of and put it in his mouth.

Seems the Christians aren't all that fond of Ms. Coulter...

Ann Coulter's Use of 'Faggot' in Describing Senator Edwards Denounced by Christian Defense Coalition

Contact: Christian Defense Coalition, 202-547-1735, 540-538-4741 cell

WASHINGTON, Mar. 3 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Christian Defense Coalition denounces Ann Coulter's use of the term "faggot" in describing Senator John Edwards and hopes she will issue an apology.

Group says hateful speech and harsh name calling should have no place in American politics.

Americans are growing tired of the poisoned atmosphere of Washington, D.C. and long for an informative and civil discussion on pressing issues and policies.

Group wonders what the response of the faith community would have been if someone at an ACLU conference referred to a Christian leader as a "faggot."

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, comments, "Over the past decade, we have seen the national political debate turn ugly and vicious. With so many pressing issues facing the American public, one should never resort to vicious name calling or personal attacks in an attempt to prove a political point. By using the term 'faggot' in describing Senator Edwards, Ann Coulter has both diminished herself and her message.

"Ms. Coulter has such a brilliant mind and sharp wit she does not have to use ‘cheap shots' like she did yesterday. Frankly, I would have loved to have heard Ann expose and dissect the radical agenda of Senator Edwards instead of restoring to cheap name calling."

sandy

She didn't "call him a faggot." Her exact words were:

"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I -- so kind of an impasse, can't really talk about Edwards."

Besides, isn't a faggot a worm? Maybe that's what she meant.

Faggot (wood) (or fagot), bundle of sticks or branches
Faggots (novel), a novel by Larry Kramer
Faggot (unit of measurement), an archaic unit of measurement
Fagot (pronounced with a silent T), the NATO reporting name for the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 airplane
Faggot (food), a British pork meatball
Fagot(to), the name in many languages of the musical instrument bassoon
Faggoting, a metalworking technique
***Large faggot worm***
Fire and Faggot Parliament

Oh, and I don't know much about the CDC other than I loved it when they tried to get Barack HUSSEIN Obama blocked from appearing at Saddleback.

So I suppose at the end of the day, assuming you ever wise up enough to see how dead wrong you are in your venom, you will say "Oh, it was just a joke!"

Naw, I don't buy it from that wind bag and I wouldn't buy it from you.

Even the Christian and far right wingers are getting tired of her spew. The conservatives can't explain her away so they will just ignore her and hope she goes away, but since she appeals to the lowest common denominator there are a few vocalists on the lunatic fringe that will spread her hateful view.

Hope you're proud of how we on the outside of the fishbowl view you and your ilk.

as a bit effeminate anyway. So no big news here...

Plus she's not even a politician. She's a writer/pundit. So who cares what she says? And why is it ok for the left to call George W 'Hitler, mass-murderer,
evil dictator' etc...? But SOO offensive for a pundit to mention Edwards name in the same sentence as fa****?

I guess no one goes to your church then, apparently even you don't. You do realize that you are shutting out the truly ill from the hospital don't you? When is the last time you or "your church" went and fed the homeless? (Hubby and I are very involved with The Daily Bread soup kitchen), when is the last time you ministered at a rehab clinic? How many prison ministries is "your church" involved in?

Every Church I have ever gone to has done their best to help those in need and even folks that are drunks yes my Church helps those that drink we even allow them to have AA meetings in our Church for free why because we believe in helping those that need it the most......

Edwards said the USA is not a Christian nation. What a moron. He said "I guess the word 'Christian' is what bothers me, even though I'm a Christian. I think that America is a nation of faith. This and his plan to rasie taxes are gonna get him real far. Not. That and trying to raise money off the Coulter flap.

JOHN “28,000 SQUARE FOOT HOUSE” EDWARDS NEEDS YOUR MONEY.

Dear [Supporter],

Did you hear about Anne Coulter's speech this afternoon attacking John? A friend just forwarded me the video and it's one of the worst moments in American politics I've seen.:D

I can't bring myself to even repeat her comments. Her shameless display of bigotry is so outrageous you actually have to see for yourself:
This is just a taste of the filth that the right-wing machine is gearing up to throw at us. And now that it's begun, we have a choice: Do we sit back, or do we fight back?

I say we fight. Help us raise $100,000 in "Coulter Cash" this week to show every would-be Republican mouthpiece that their bigoted attacks will not intimidate this campaign. I just threw in 100 bucks. Will you join me? Just click here.:

Coulter's attack was no accident. It happened on national television at one of the year's biggest conservative conferences. D!ck Cheney and most of the Republican candidates were in the audience. She was even introduced by Mitt Romney.

John was singled out for a personal attack because the Republican establishment knows he poses the greatest threat to their power. Since they have nothing real to use against him, Coulter's resorting to the classic right-wing strategy of riling up hate to smear a progressive champion. And the Republican attack dogs will keep playing this despicable trick as long as they think it works.

But this time, you and I can change the game.

If we can raise $100,000 in "Coulter Cash" this week, we can show that bigotry will only backfire on those who use it. John is not the first progressive leader to face this kind of slime, but together, we can make sure he is one of the last.

Tonight, I've put in 100 bucks of "Coulter Cash" to get us started. Can you match me, or chip in whatever you can afford? Just click here:

Just about any ticket with Obama as a Veep. Like it or not, Hillary has star power, and if she teamed with Obama that would be formidable. It was interesting how the two interacted at the civil rights commemoration yesterday. They are not attacking each other directly because they know they may well need each other.

I personally like Edwards, and was sorry it was Kerry instead of him before.

Rush- I think it's way too early to call. We have 20 months left. I don't like/trust Hillary/Obama's/Edwards positions on the issues and their lack of bold Christianity. I do like Edwards personally. He's the only one of them that doesn't give me the creeps. Bush was refreshing when he ran and talked about Jesus and God. He was warm, charasmatic, sincere, and enchanting.

Supporters are leaving Hil in droves for Obama. He's like their savior but I still think he's an empty suit. Edwards may see a little surge here after the Coulter thing.

I can't even begin to call this one. It's WAY too early and there will be plenty more surprises/attacks/facts coming out in the next year and a half.

I didn't really have peace about my answer so I did some homework. I don't know the correct answer to the Canadian troops thing since there are at least 5 different answers:

On the February 18, 2005 edition of Washington Journal, Coulter sought to justify her statement by referring to the roughly 10,000 Canadians who volunteered for the American armed forces, and thus fought in Vietnam, stating:

"Yes, 10,000 Canadian troops, at least. There is a War Memorial to them, at least for most of that. The Canadian Government didn't send troops but they came and fought with the Americans. So I was wrong. It turns out there were 10,000 Americans who happened to be born in Canada. .... I didn't believe [McKeown] because I had read about Canadian troops in Vietnam. I was right. People keep saying: "Well, he didn't tell you that they — 10,000 troops ran across to sign up with the American forces." I don't think he knew! He's a bubblehead."

John Cloud of Time magazine claimed this exchange was "one of the most popular alleged mistakes [by Coulter] pinging around the Web", but suggested that Coulter may have been right, on the basis that "Canada [sent] noncombat troops to Indochina in the 1950s and again to Vietnam in 1972."

I don't know the "correct" answer.

John Edwards is talking for Jesus now.

He says
-Jesus would be appalled at how the United States has ignored the plight of the suffering.
-Jesus would be upset with the selfishness of Americans.
-Jesus would be upset about our country's willingness to go to war "when it's not necessary.:(
-Jesus would be upset with our focus on our own selfish short-term needs.

I guess we should all stop for a moment to thank John Edwards for sharing Jesus' thoughts with us. Somehow, though, I think that Jesus would understand that there is no country on the face of the earth that does as much for the suffering as does the United States. Jesus is also probably aware that Americans give more money to worthy causes than the people of any other nation. I'm also not convinced that Jesus would feel that removing a bloody dictator -- a dictator guilty of mass murders, rapes and wholesale violations of human decency -- would be categorized as "unnecessary." There are some who might think that getting rid of Saddam Hussein was actually a very Christian thing to do!:)

Ann Coulter was on Hannity & Colmes last night. She said she used “faggot” in the context of “wuss” and added it was a “schoolyard taunt” and a “sophomoric” joke. Hannity brought up all the names Ann has been called over the years. One of the left’s favorites seems to be “Man Coulter.”

Democrat Pat Caddell, certainly not a “Fox News liberal”, thought Ann was joking. I don’t think Ann’s remark was anti-gay. Republicans like gays. Just not gay marriage. The panel brought up words demoncrats have used in the past, including Senator D!ck Durbin’s comparison of the US military’s treatment to detainees at Gitmo to Nazis, Soviet gulags and Cambodia’s Pol Pot.:(

We don't commit adultry or embrace alcoholism.

Sure about that? Look at the Master's standards there:

Matthew 5:19 Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

21 "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

27 "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Try a few books:
Handbook to Happiness - Charles Solomon
The Normal Christian Life - Wathcman Nee
Lifetime Guarantee - Bill Gilham
Victory Over the Darkness - Neil T. Anderson
Sidetracked in the Wilderness - Michael Wells (my favorite)

2: Edwards is kind of a wierdo anyway. Once while practicing law, in a courtroom during a trial he 'channelled' a fetus. I might think of a few terms to describe that, but 'faggot' wouldn't be the first to come to mind.
3: People need to calm down about this. Coulter doesn't do reporting or make documentaries, she does (extremely sarcastic) policital commentary. If you want serious news, look elsewhere. But mostly, have a handful of chocolate covered prozac and calm down.

And I'm so sure Annie is quaking in her boots. She's not the type to scare easily. Cantankerous she is.

It just blows me away how the liberals get a pass for every stupid thing they do/say. If Coulter had expressed death wishes for Gore while he was VP, the drive-by media would have had a meltdown and publically crucified her.

I was talking about my church. We do not embrace alcoholism or adultry. We have been taught the whole lust thing too. My saying someone is hot is not adultry. I don't look at them with lust in my heart.

Yeah, sure, you keep telling yourself that..... ;)
We believe you, really we do..... :p

I'm still trying to figure out why we need *10* Ann Coulter threads. I guess she really is that interesting...

"Those who twist my words in order to make me look stupid are proving true what I say about them: they are morons." -AC :D

Ann's new column is up and it's a good one:

THE COMING ASS AGE
March 21, 2007

No matter how much liberals try to dress up their nutty superstitions about global warming as "science," which only six-fingered lunatics could doubt, scratch a global warming "scientist" and you get a religious fanatic. :)

These days, new religions are barely up and running before they seize upon the worst aspects of the God-based religions....
