We've discussed this ad nauseum. NO is a disaster. Ugh...

I can't believe that there were no criminal investigations. The help STILL isn't getting there that needs to get there. We taxpayers bought how many trailers that sat unused while Kat victims had to remain homeless?
Then, when we had our little tornadoes down here in FL in Jan, the FEMA trailers miraculously showed up within a week! I guess maybe they learned from the previous transgression.
Sorry Sandy, I wasn't here for the previous discussion. It is important that we remember these folks STILL need help. Lots of it, and it isn't just New Orleans. N.O. has had tons more help than Miss ever got. There are still just blocks and blocks of debris and damaged / leveled homes.

Ray "chocolate" Nagin filed a $77 billiion suit over Katrina. The funny thing is only $1 billion is for infrastructure damages. The rest is for such things as the city's tarnished image and tourist industry losses.:(
So, you refuse to evacuate, get stranded, get flooded, and then sue the government for your idiocy? Those silly liberals and their logic...

Who is he suing? The Federal Government? They gave him money to fix the levee, and it didn't get fixed. He was told to evacuate the people, and he didn't. It's nobody's fault but his.

As usual, only part of the story is correct. Tens of Thousands of individuals, and the City of New Orleans, as WELL AS 2 utility companies filed the suit against the Army Corps of Engineers.
You sure are into the sensationalism. Too bad some people have a half a brain and pay attention to the real news.
Why did you bring up the "chocolate" thing? Are you a bigot?

Actually that comes from Nagin referring to New Orleans as "The Chocolate City", and saying that New Orleans will be "Chocolate" again.

Some lowlife scumbag moron shot a FEMA security guard in the face at a FEMA trailer park in NO. More trailer park drama and more murders (32 now...):(
A few hours earlier, another man was shot and killed near the Guste public housing complex.
NO residents need to clean up their acts and their city. What a mess...

I wouldn't piss on New Orleans, if it was on fire. They should've left it a swamp.

I've said all along I think they should just turn it into an island. That's what it is anyway. (OK, it's really a bowl but you know what I mean.)
I do not support rebuilding because it could happen again. They've been warned repeatedly but they want to stay.

The reason New Orleans mayor Ray Nagrin stopped attacking President Bush after their meeting and started attacking Governor Blanco is because President Bush advised Nagrin of his offers to Gov. Blanco prior to and as Hurricane Katrina hit.

Feds have charged more than 600 people in connection with Katrina fraud costing a billion (!!) dollars.
Thousands of people have bilked the government and charities out of a billion dollars that were supposed to be for Katrina victims. An Alabama woman filed 28 claims for addresses in four states. Prison inmates applied for/got aid. FEMA and Red Cross workers were busted. Some fundraisers and internet auctions are scams too.
The same thing happened after 911. Low-life scumbags stealing from charitable, tax-paying Americans/government. Meanwhile, some who really need help aren't getting it. Despicable.
