Sick! This perv needs to fry! He's supposed to be for "rights" and what does he do? He gets caught with vile child pornography. What a hypocrite. Again, no mention of this in the drive-by media. They defend their own.
Feds arrested Charles Rust-Tierney, the former president of the Virginia chapter of the ACLU, Friday in Arlington for possessing child pornography.
He used his email address and credit card to subscribe to and access a child pornography websites. He admitted that he had downloaded videos and images from child pornography websites onto CD-ROMs. Eww. Just ewww.

I'm not surprised. In general, the ACLU is more about infringing on rights than on protecting them. They are a Godless lot that wants only to wipe out all semblance of Christianity and God from America.
Their latest thing down here in FL is suing a small county named Dixie County for putting the 10 Commandments on the courthouse steps. The sculpture was suggested, commissioned and paid for by private business owners in Dixie county. The ACLU happened to get wind of it, and decided to sue.
The problem was though, that NO ONE in the ENTIRE county wanted to remove the 10 Commandments. They are very Christian in Dixie county, churches outnumber stop lights, no lie.
The ACLU actually MOVED one of their members into the community so they could file suit on this new "resident's" behalf.
I'm kind of mad at them in case you didn't notice. I still haven't forgiven them for removing the lighted cross that used to be on top of the St Cloud water tower back in the late 70's or early 80's. I wasn't even saved then and I thought that was plain wrong.

I literally DESPISE the ACLU:mad: (Anti-Christian, Losers Union) All their fighting about mangers and crosses makes my blood boil. I think there is a special place in hell just for them.
It's all about money. Just remember, follow the money.
The Civil Rights Act held a provision that allowed plaintiffs to recover legal fees in civil rights cases. This was done to help the poor who had been abused gain access to legal help (the lawyers would know that they could win legal fees if they won their cases). But one item allowed lawyers to recover legal fees in 'establishment' cases (establishment of religion). With discrimination in this country now (for the most part) chased into the margins of our society, the lawyers needed a new trough from which to feed. That's why we've seen all these 'establishment' cases being brought by the ACLU and others. Several congress critters have put forth bills to close this loophole but it's gotten nowhere because most congress critters are lawyers (or are beholden to the legal profession). But take away the money and the lawsuits would disappear.

The case is in court but getting little press. Why is that? Could it be the
media is guided by advancing their agenda rather than honest reporting?
It should be getting huge publicity since the ACLU has defended child molesters in N*A*M*B*L*A.
We all know the drive-by media is sympathetic to ACLU's left-leaning causes.
Then again, when has the ACLU ever had critical media coverage?

A former American Civil Liberties Union executive, who once argued that Internet filters in libraries that limited children's access to pornography would interfere with their ability to learn and communicate, is facing a federal court hearing today on charges he possessed child pornography.
The preliminary hearing is scheduled in court in the Eastern District of Virginia for Charles Rust-Tierney, 51, of Arlington, Va., who has been held in custody in the case since his arrest. According to report on the case, Rust-Tierney admitted to investigators he had downloaded videos and images from child pornography websites onto CD-ROMS, which reportedly depicted graphic forcible assaults on young girls.
Rust-Tierney, who served as president of the Virginia ACLU chapter for several years, was the lawyer who argued against Internet filters in libraries in the early 2000s when the ACLU was opposing the Children's Internet Protection Act, which later was approved by Congress.
