You gotta love D!ck Cheney. He already knows the mainstream media and the Democrats hate him, so he just goes right out there and says exactly what he thinks...and often times, it's priceless. It all started recently in Japan, of all places. Cheney was giving an interview to ABC News about John Murtha and Nancy Pelosi's attempts to short-circuit the troop surge in Iraq. Here is exactly what he said:

"I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the Al Qaeda strategy. The Al Qaeda strategy is to break the will of the American people, try to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit."

And that's when it hit the fan. A furious Nancy Pelosi tried to reach President Bush to complain, but only got through to the Chief of Staff. Madame Speaker whined that Cheney's comments were "beneath the dignity of the debate we're engaged in and a disservice to our men and women in uniform, whom we all support." Uh-huh. Then Pelosi trotted out her well-worn straw man and accused the Bush Administration of questioning her patriotism, something he didn't do.

So what's the problem here? The truth hurts, doesn't it? Cheney just spoke his mind...and he's right. The Democratic strategy in Iraq is the Al-Qaeda strategy: surrender. It's too bad Nancy Pelosi can't accept that.

Really. Wow. Interesting.

Did they get that on tape somewhere?

You're a nutjob.

Cheney really has nothing to lose. He's in his second term, and he's not seeking any other public office. I personally like him, and that's because I had the chance to work for him, and I know what a great people, him and his wife really are.

I've always liked him and thought he was great. He has a wonderfully dry sense of humor.

The Taliban tried to blow up D!ck Cheney during a visit to a U.S. Military base in Afghanistan. Up to 24 people were killed by the suicide bomber. Cheney is in the region to meet with the president of Pakistan and tell him to crack down a bit harder on terrorists.

Cheney is on the warpath lately and it's very refreshing. He's been taking on the drive-by media, the democrats, and not holding back. He rightly called out Nancy Pelosi for her insane policies, which support terrorism. When a controversy ensued he didn't hold back. He's been taking on the media, appearing on TV shows completely unapologetic for the war in Iraq. Finally!:D

Instead of letting the left and the drive-by media call Iraq a failure, (which it isn't), they should have been out there pounding the hammer and pointing out democrats for their pro-appeasement policies. Better late than never I guess. Besides, it's not like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or any democrats are ever going to come up with a better plan for Iraq anyway.

Typical Republicans. Don't fight back until you get REALLY ticked off.:D

Interesting timing too. Who is next in line if Cheney goes? Hmmmm...

I personally find this attack very disturbing. As was the sudden "Illness" of the Iraqi president, and the attack on the Iraqi vice president. The li'l bastids are trying.

That being said... I now will go into my usual moderately left handed rant:

Yes, he is a pitbull, but I think he's pizzing on the wrong tree.

IRAQ was never a terrorist stronghold until W went in and destroyed the infrastructure that, as terrible as it was, actually kept terrorism in that country at bay. AFGANISTAN is the terrorist stronghold that bred and cultivated Al Queda and Bin Laden. But when W realized he couldn't actually take over that country and find Bin Laden, he went into a personal vendetta against the sumnab!tch that his daddy warred with.

THEN, your "drive by media" (the media loves W, I don't know where you get that he gets only negative press), helped him spin the terrorism threat on down to Iraq. Now that he's completely muffed the job there, he's got his sights set on Iran. Lotsa oil there too for him to take.

"The media loves W"???? Are you serious? They are crucifying him! The only fair and balanced media is FOX. Most of the others are vile.

We underestimated the evil muslim terrorists in Iraq (from Iran and Syria.) They're not going down without a huge fight.

And if you think Iran is about oil, we have nothing to discuss. When Imadipwad destroys your city with a nuclear bomb, then you'll realize he is evil like Sadass.

W is the only one with the b@lls to take out Sadass who would still be in power if it was up to the democrats. Nevermind the 1.5 million people he killed, his rape/torture rooms, gassing his own people, supressing women etc.
No big deal... He was "fine"

They should have just continued to find Bin Laden......He is the danger I am not saying that Saddam was not a tyrant he was but is it the job of the US to decide who should be in power and who shouldn't?

That's what I have been saying he wants the oil......such a shame that our President is so greedy.....Vice president is making money on this war too...While things worsen here at home for everyone else the rich are getting richer.......I know that W. is not loved by his people they can't wait for him to be out of office....so much so that who knows who will be elected....Could be Obama or even another Clinton......I don't believe another Bush will ever be elected to that office.......

Yep yep yep! I agree 100%, but I am deathly afraid that Jeb Bush is the third of the unholy trinity. The three Bushes are bringing about the end of the world. Jeb will be elected in 2012, then the world will end. Print this out and paste it to your bathroom mirror.

I would personally like John Edwards over either Hillary or Obama, but he can't overcome either of their star power.

Lol my son would love to see this!!!! Jeb will never be elected even if he wanted to.....I think Americans are just fed up with the Bush family and they will not print a pretty picture of them in history books!

I agree I would rather have John Edwards as president too who knows maybe the primaries will bring some surprises.......

Who are things worsening for? Pathetic losers? Not for anyone I know. The economy is great. America is the best place in the world to live.:D

Edwards blew his chance when he revealed he was going to raise taxes. Granted only the top half of income earners pay the most taxes, so they will be the unhappiest.*

Jeb would be an awesome president but he does not want it. He saw how the media crucified his brother and wants no part of it. He did a great job in FL despite all the criminal aliens there.:(

*The Top 50% pay 96.54% of All Income Taxes
The top 25% pay 84% of All Income ATaxes
The Top 1% Pay More Than a Third: 34.27%

No wonder whiney libs want taxes raised. They don't pay any!

Bill O'Reilly wanabe Bill Maher said the world would be a better place if terrorists succeeded in their assassination attempt of Vice President D!ck Cheney.:(

"I’m just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact."

Maher is pathetic. He would be severely punished in Iran. Maybe he should go try his traitor show over there.

In 2002, ABC fired Maher for saying despicable things about 911.

Cheney made fun of President Bush's relationship with the press corps at a dinner last nite. He said:"The president is really sorry he couldn't be here, but he had another obligation. His book club is meeting." :D

He said Gore's house uses an above-average amount of energy. "Many argue that global warming is manmade and it looks like they found the man.":D
