LA has always had a large Hispanic population.........Hispanic people have been citizen's of our country for hundreds of years........Sandy that is really very silly that is like blaming the Irish or the Italians for the crime rate also.......our country is a melting pot.......The high school I went to had a lot of Hispanic population my doctor was a Dr. Lopez he was one of the bests Doctors I have ever had.......not to mention that my half my family is married to Hispanic people and my sister and her husband own and run a Mexican restaurant and they have lived in the San Antonio area (his family) for over 170 years......They pay taxes help feed the homeless. I guess what i am trying to say is you can't put everyone in a box......it just doesn't work that way........I don't know if you have noticed but the face of the US is getting darker. They say in a couple of generations no more true blonds........

We lived about 15-20 Miles away from California however we had to drive through the Sierra Nevada's to get into the big cities......But before the big cities was Truckee and that was a very nice small community...Northern California seemed very nice we stayed for about 6 weeks camping and traveling I enjoyed the solitude while my boys (husband and son) would fish I would watch we were the only ones on the lake........It was great we also went through the Great Red Woods......Wow California has alot to offer...

Yes the Mountains are gorgeous! There are so many tiny little towns...I don't know all of them however Gold Mining was at one time very prosperous out there as well as silver mining................Lake Tahoe is the Jewel in the midst of The Sierra's.....

Well let's see I know of only 3 different familes personally one of them has been here since about 1800 and in that family one son grew up and murdered his wife and unborn child his family is from europe....another son was a drug dealer. Now these are offenses of which they were convicted. Another family had a son that was a child molester by the age of 16 he was molesting 4th and 5th grade girls his family only goes back to 1830's but also from Europe...The last family has 7 convicted family members......for various things including rape, drug dealing, robbery, arson, and theft. I know my brother was approached so to speak and he kicked the guys butt and ended up in solitary.....No one messed with him again and he would do the same fro us (his siblings) if anyone ever threatened us....He is a good guy but has a temper he never killed anyone and his crime was one of running from the police after burglarizing a home...I am not saying this was a "good" crime as none are good.......

If no one has posted since I did, I don't care, I post the new story anyway in the already started/proper thread. It's about keeping the stories/comments in their own catagories and not starting cr@p threads all over the board.

Providing a link allows the reader to read the whole story if he wants. And it provides the source of information.

Mexico's president blamed the problem of illegal immigration on the United States yesterday.:rolleyes: He whined about the border fence and said Americans shouldn't do so many drugs. Maybe we need more of what he's smoking?:eek:

Felipe Calderon is upset about our 700-mile border fence. Sure wish we'd get the 2,000 mile one.:D He complained that he couldn't (wouldn't?) reduce drug production in Mexico with demand so high here. He compared our border fence to the Berlin Wall. The Berlin Wall was to keep people in, we're' trying to keep people out. Big diff
