One sunny day in 2008, an old man approached the White
House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where
he'd been
sitting on a park bench.

He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, "I
would like to go in and meet with President Hillary
Clinton (http://www.hillary-rodham-clinton.org)." The Marine replied, "Sir, Mrs. Clinton is
not President and doesn't reside here." The old man
said, "Okay," and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White
House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go
in and meet with President Hillary Clinton". The
Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday,
Mrs. Clinton is not President and doesn't reside
here."

The man thanked him and again walked away.. The third
day, the same man approached the White House and spoke
to the very same Marine, saying "I would like to go in
and meet with President Hillary Clinton." The Marine,
understandably agitated at this point, looked at the
man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you
have been here asking to speak to Mrs. Clinton. I've
told you already several times that Mrs. Clinton is
not the President and doesn't reside here. Don't you
understand?"

The old man answered, "Oh, I understand you fine, I
just love hearing your answer!"

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said,
"See you tomorrow."

The (very) scary thing is that many people think she may win unless the Republicans come up with someone better than Romney. We still have time but it's getting very short.

I like Edwards best for the democrats. He is the least offensive. I don't like his tax hike ideas, but he is the best qualified out of the top 3. His little problem with his anti-Christian bloggers may have hurt him but Americans have short memories when it comes to those kinds of things.

I love the new tv spoof with Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. I would vote for/help run their campaigns. They would clean up this country fast!

A new Harris poll says 50% of Americans won't vote for Hillary Clinton. I don't put much faith in polls but this one is interesting. The poll only surveyed 2,223 potential voters but it revealed strong, negative opinions of Clinton who is viewed as a polarizing figure in American politics.

Nearly half of those polled said they don't like Clinton's political opinions and/or Clinton as a person. A majority - 52 percent - of those polled said "she does not appear to connect with people on a personal level."

Perhaps surprisingly, nearly half (45 percent) of the women polled would not vote for Clinton, while 56 percent of men said they would choose someone else instead. Self-proclaimed seniors (62 years and older) also tilted against Clinton in the poll, with 69 percent showing their disapproval of her as a 2008 candidate.
