Well, if that's the case, then that totally sucks. She was the best female contestant on there.

I don't honestly remember even seeing her in 'hollywood' week.

Something obviously happened.

I've since read that she did some lingerie football pay per view thing. Doesn't seem controversial enough to get rid of her. Bring her back.:lsvader: :lsvader::flamethro :flamethro

LONG BEACH - The roller-skating waitresses who impressed "American Idol" judges last week didn't make the cut on Wednesday, stunning loved ones and friends gathered at a local restaurant.
Ebony Jointer, 23, of Hacienda Heights, and Cypress High School senior Ashley Cleland, 17, were not among the singing hopefuls who made it to the top 24.

"We're all stunned," said Joanne Frisco-Stathoulis, the Frisco's Carhop Restaurant co-founder who drove three waitresses from her Long Beach restaurant to Pasadena last summer for "American Idol" auditions. "From Day One, everyone here thought (Ebony) was the next American Idol. There was no question about it. I think (the judges) made a mistake."

Jointer and Cleland are prohibited from speaking to the media about the competition, but Frisco-Stathoulis said Cleland was "doing fine." Many of Jointer's supporters were scratching their heads, especially after sharp-tongued judge Simon Cowell's high compliments.

Cowell told Jointer last Wednesday that her voice was "in a different league."

What he may not have know was that Jointer, 23 of Hacienda Heights, has also been in another league - the Lingerie Football League, the four-team organization that pits scantily clad female models against one another in a football game, according to realitytvmagazine.com.
Jointer played for the Chicago Bliss in 2005's Lingerie Bowl III, according to the Web site.

Jointer has also played a model on the silver screen, according to imdb.com. That site lists Jointer as Bikini Model #5 in the 2003 film "Pauly Shore Is Dead."

Modeling and acting aside, Jointer last Wednesday broke through Cowell's infamous icy demeanor and charmed him.

On last Wednesday's episode of "American Idol," titled "Rest of the Best," Jointer, fellow Hacienda Heights resident Heather Rennie, 20, and Cleland auditioned in front of Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.

All three work as singing and rollerskating waitresses at Frisco's on the Los Coyotes Diagonal near the Traffic Circle.

For their chance at fame, the trio entered the audition together and were dressed in their 1950s-style uniforms and aprons.

Jointer covered Whitney Houston's "I Believe In You And Me."

Cowell said her performance was "very good" and "terrific."

Regarding the rollerskates, Cowell told Jointer, "You shouldn't be on those things, 'cause you're really good."

Cowell was less impressed with Cleland, who sang Sarah McLachlan's "Angel," and Rennie, who performed the Rascal Flatts' "Bless the Broken Road."

"You two are OK, heard it all a million times without the rolling, whatever you call them," Cowell said. "It's just quite dull."

Despite his comments, Cleland moved to the next round, but Rennie didn't advance.

In 1985, four years after opening the first Frisco's in Bell Gardens, Frisco-Stathoulis incorporated waitresses, who could not only serve food but also sing, dance and rollerskate.

In 1985, Frisco-Stathoulis also put together The Carhops, a singing group of seven girls from the Frisco's restaurants. She says the group has performed at a variety of functions, including hotel parties and supermarket openings in the Los Angeles area and Las Vegas.

Cleland and Jointer are members of the current Carhops grouping. Cleland, Jointer and Rennie also sing at Frisco's every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Cleland has been singing since she was 5 years old. From 5 to 12 years old, she sang with the youth group the Good News Kids, who performed throughout the Los Angeles area, including fairs and at Knott's Berry Farm.

Jointer has been singing since she was 4 years old, and sings about once every three months in the youth and young adult choir at the Zoe Christian Fellowship in Whittier, says creative director Shery Traylor.

She says Jointer has been a church member for about 11 years and last saw her about four weeks ago, just before all the "American Idol" hoopla began.

"I just said hello and gave her a big hug," says Traylor, who says Jointer last performed at the church in December for a Christmas musical.

Traylor says she and other church members have been encouraging Jointer to audition for "American Idol" for a while.

"She's small, but her voice is so powerful and moving," Traylor says.

At Frisco's, Frisco-Stathoulis says that Jointer, Cleland, Rennie and the other waitresses sing throughout the week if customers request it and the women have time. She says customers enjoy when Jointer sings Whitney Houston songs, especially Houston's cover of "I Will Always Love You."

But since appearing on "American Idol," Cleland and Jointer have been receiving extra attention at the restaurant.

"Everyone comes in and asks for their autographs. Customers ask them to autograph their receipts.

"Everyone takes out their cell phones and records them singing."

Well if they disqualify other contestants for appearing nude or semi nude
shouldn't they then disqualify Antonella?
