Everyone's got an opinion. The producers will say "why fix it when it ain't broke." What do you think?

1. Get rid of the stupid songs they sing as a group. It's so gay and Up With Peopleish. Reminds me of those variety shows of the seventies.

2. Ban Barry Manilow, Kenny Rogers, and Neil Sedaka from being guest "coaches".

3. Do not have a Barry Manilow song week.

4. Cut the audtion shows from two hours to one hour. I mean, how many bad ones do we really need to see?

5. Have a seventies Punk week.

6. Have a bluegrass week.

7. Don't make the performers sing after they lose. I always thought that was stupid.

8. Change "You've Had A Bad Day" by Daniel Powter to "I'm A Loser" by The Beatles when they get voted off.

9. If they're going to have a guest performer, have somebody a little more current. Not Barry Manilow or Kenny Rogers. Someone like Panic At The Disco or Michell Branch or Outkast or something.

10. Let them play an instrument, while they sing, if they know how to.

That's pretty interesting.

I like the idea of having them blog. Do you remember a few seasons ago when they let you see them in the house? I liked that - it gave a better insight into the person.

Although the argument could be made that this isn't about whether they're nice people or not, etc.... but since it is a popularity contest I say we should see who we're voting for.

Again, I'll argue with myself and come back to it IS a singing competition. I guess to that point, then we should revise the voting processes - not vote a million times, etc.

In the article - I LOVED that Randy didn't want celebrity judges - how self-serving is THAT???

Oh wait - but what I would like is a choose your own theme week - where the public can vote on the theme.

I do believe playing an instrument is a must!!!!!!

I agree we don't need to see so many bad auditions!!!!!

You guys have come up with some great ideas. And I totally agree about not singing after they lose. How stupid is that? They're in tears/hysterical and they have to try to sing. Dumb...

LOL 70s punk week. Could you see chicken little, Kat, Elliott, Taylor, Ruben, and Clay (LOL, OMG, Clay!) as punkers?:D

I could picture Clay singing this one

We're A Happy Family, The Ramones

We're a happy family
We're a happy family
We're a happy family
Me mom and daddy

Siting here in Queens
Eating refried beans
We're in all the magazines
Gulpin' down thorazines

We ain't got no friends
Our troubles never end
No Christmas cards to send
Daddy likes men

Daddy's telling lies
Baby's eating flies
Mommy's on pills
Baby's got the chills

I'm friends with the President
I'm friends with the Pope
We're all making a fortune
Selling Daddy's dope

I hated last year's themes........they were awful!!!!!

I always thought it was kind of cruel to make them sing the song that
got them voted off.......if you are going to make them sing let them
sing a song that didn't get them voted off at least...

I think they should have a week where they pick a song for another
contestant, lol.......How evil would they be to each other I wonder?

Chicken Little singing "Oingo Boingo"

Elliott singing "Mexian Radio" by Wall of Voodoo

Kat doing a Joan Jett & the Blackhearts tune.

Do agree that if they can play an instrument they be allowed to do so.

Wish they'd let the people vote for the one contestant they wanted removed instead of the one(s) they like. That would give "Vote for the Worst" a new meaning.

And get rid of the 'freak show' wierdos in the audition weeks. One or two per week is MORE than enough.

Yes, only the absolute best of the worst should be shown..
and please, please, please, no more pathetic beggers.....

I can't stand when they show the people who just won't take no
for an answer........I just cringe......

I use the DVR to fast forward past those. I don't even bother watching the freaks any more. Quite frankly, it's becoming boring. Enough is enough. Guess I'll start watching again once they get to Hollywierd.
