I thought the guy last night who tried to sing Gloria (The one who said the DODO bird is not extinct) was really funny. You can't take someone like that seriously. Anyway, it got me thinking about how many so called contestants audition for Idol on a dare or a bet, knowing full well that they can't sing. And do the producers/judges have a system in place to weed out these imposters. Its just so hard to believe that there are so many untalented people would actually come out and audition, thinking they actually have a chance. Thoughts anyone?

I don't know, I think a lot of them just want a minute of fame.

But for the others...maybe if you are REALLY tone deaf, you can't tell how bad you sing....don't know.

I wish Simon had been there for that first girl last night, that was a waste of good entertainment!!!

Yeah, she was pretty funny. I guess without the "bad" auditions, there wouldn't be much of a show to watch in the beginning. But, I love to sing, mostly in my car with the windows up and the stereo as loud as it will go, and I know I am really bad. Not even for 15 minutes of fame would I sing in public.

Then again, for a million bucks, I would have to think twice. I'm not cheap but I can be bought.

Actually, that's what an audition is about. To sieve out the bad from the good and then later, a super fine sieve to get the best!!

That guy, Ian, thinks that he is a superstar and RICH. A bit of a grandiose personality???

He is the one who let it be known he has TWO therapists, isn't he? (I don't have my 'notes' right in front of me.)

And he got booted out from that show 'So you think you can dance' as well!

Ian, he was on Fox and Friends this morning, Sat. He did not look as goofy as when in the audition. He did not think that Simon should say some of the things he says to people. I thought I heard them say that he has a CD out. Anyone know about that.
