I hear you about eye candy and it does have it's place, however when you have Simon saying over and over how it is a singing comp. and you let people though that can not sing and don't people that do sing it becomes a joke.

Antoiletta hit the stage next. She hit it hard…This past week some “lovely” pictures have surfaced of this Jersey girl. Among them are topless photos, pictures of her drinking, even though she is underage, and my personal favorite, Antoiletta sitting on the porcelain throne. I think the toilet picture is appropriate because that is where her voice was. First she chose to sing Aerosmith’s “Don’t want to miss a thing.” The cheese factor on this song is so large it should be served with wine. It is a karaoke favorite, so it should never be sung on Idol if a contestant wants to be taken seriously…Any time I hear it all I can picture is the dumb asteroid hurtling toward the earth. She sang this song so poorly; I was thinking that they might as well have let the juggling kid that cried through to Hollywood…he couldn’t have done any worse than she did. Unfortunately the worst site will put her through to next week and we will have to listen to her butcher something else. On the plus side, it does give her “Friends” another week to post more pictures.

I think these past events will affect her performance, and she probably will be voted off. Judging by her behavior on Hollywood week, you can tell she gets easily rattled. She's probably had a meltdown since these photos came out, and I'm sure her nerves are shot. What she did was probably no worse than anything these other girls have done. The only difference is, they were smart enough not to get it on film. I'm sure in hindsight, she wishes it didn't happen. But, at the time, she probably didn't have any aspirations of being on American Idol, or being famous. She probably didn't think it would affect her life one way or another. I don't condemn her for those photos. She was just a young college kid, acting crazy. Whoopee. I remember when I was her age, I did some crazy stuff too. We're talking Animal House level. I was a young guy, stationed in England, and I was having the time of my life. We all make mistakes, and hopefully she'll learn from this one. It's too bad that whoever let these photos out, felt the need to do so.
