To temper your enthusiasm.....
if you honestly believe you can go into the Superbowl against either Indy or the Patriots with Rex Grossman as your QB... and have him play as he did half the year....
or honestly with your defense as they played half the year (not as they did today)....
and have half a chance of winning....
you're just delusional.
The defense was awesome today. The Saints didn't look prepared (probably something to do with practicing indoors all week).. and they got destroyed.
Your offense did nothing.
I'd bet and bet heavily on either AFC team to absolutely take the Bears apart in the Superbowl.
Maybe next year there might be a little competition in the NFC... or maybe we should just re-align the leagues so that some of the AFC playoff teams can join the NFC and make it a little more exciting.
I said it once and I'll say it again. I would have bet on any of the AFC playoff teams beating any of the NFC playoff teams in the big game.

Wasn't there somebody that called the Bears pretenders? I don't think so! Didn't somebody say that Grossman would choke under pressure? I don't think so!
Didn't somebody say that the Saints running game would beat the Bears? I don't think so!

Well, I don't think he ought to be applying for any type of analyst job on ESPN anytime soon. He's just jealous because his sorry ass Broncos suck.

Well actually RD, If you go to the ESPN.GO.COM website you will find that all of their experts were wrong. So "Kitty Kat" is more than qualified.
My favorite play of the Game was Urlachers Hit on Colston going over the middle where Brian DESTROYED him....just like when he destroyed her wHoo wHoo.......

What makes this so sweet is that everyone was down on the Bears all season long. Nobody wanted to give them any respect.
It was always, "Yeah, they're 13-3, but...."
or
"They have an easy schedule, blah, blah, blah...."
All the so-called experts wanted to crown everybody in the NFC, but the Bears. First it was the Panthers, then the Giants, then the Cowboys, then the Eagles, then the Saints. But never the Bears. Well, we're in baby, so deal with it!:jump1:

Yep, I called it, Bears vs. Colts.
I knew the Saints didn't stand a chance. It was the biggest blowout in a championship game history!!
HAHAHAHAHA Go home Saints!

I'm curious.. always been a Bears fan?
Not that we really need an answer.. but it's funny that you just happen to jump on the bandwagon now.
Didn't somebody say that Grossman would choke under pressure?
Are you actually trying to sell that Grossman didn't choke? Wow, you're right.. he had an awesome game. One for the ages.
As for the running games... yep, the Bears put it to the Saints. And lucky for them they did. That and the defense won them the game... it won't be that easy vs the Colts.

He didn't commit any turnovers, and he didn't get sacked. He managed the game well, which is all he needed to do. Many of the incompletions were passes that should've been caught.
If you know anything about football, then you know that defense and a strong running attack are what win championships. You don't need a quarterback to throw for 300 yards a game, just one that doesn't make turnovers like Brees did yesterday.

It is possible to root for a team that is not yours, if your team is not playing. Especially, if your team is not in the playoffs. Lizzy is a Cowboys fan, the Cowboys weren't in it, so she's rooting for the Bears. Plain and simple. Kim is also a Cowboys fan, but is rooting for the Bears.

If you had read any of my prevous posts you would know the following.....
1. I love the Cowboys
2. The Cowboys are not in the Superbowl
3. I enjoyed watching the Bears in 1986 and was glad they won. I was a big fan of Jim McMann back then, and still get some enjoyment out of watching them today.
But what are you really saying? I think we all know. You are saying that the only reason I am pulling for the bears is because Rushdog likes them.
If I hated the Bears (witch obvously I don't) I would pull for them with my Rushdog anytime, as long as the Cowboys weren't involved. Why? Because I enjoy watching the people I care about smile. I like it when they are happy.
Don't like it? I don't care. You worry about who you are pulling for and why, and I will do the same.

I too thought the Saints had a better chance due to the QB situation being un-even. What I didn't anticipate is that the Bears receivers are really good, and Rex isn't that terrible at times can be decent.
I still think its a toss up, but I'm tending to lean towards da Bears chances. I just think they have a better over-all package than the Colts. But I would not bet either way, toss up really if you ask me on how it could actually go down. Any Given Superbowl........
