What is your definition of a friend?

For me...

1. It's having someone you can always talk to, whether you're in a good mood or bad, and they will listen and not judge you.

2. It doesn't matter if that person lives right next door or 1,000 miles away.

3. It's someone who you can connect with, whether you've known them for years, months or days.

4. It's having someone who can finish your thoughts to the point that it's almost scary.

5. It's knowing that there is someone in the world who thinks about you at least once every day.

6. It's looking forward to giving them something special and seeing their eyes light up when they receive it.

7. It's receiving mail (e or otherwise) from them and it lights up your day.

8. It's the feeling that God has put someone in your life through any series of circumstances who will always be a vital part of you.

I think one important thing is knowing that you can just show up at their door.. whether you've had the best day of your life.. or the worst day of your life and you know they'll be there for you to celebrate or help you through it.

And certainly someone that may 'judge' you for the things that you've done.. but won't hold it against you. And by 'judge' I mean let you know if you've messed up or have done something that maybe you shouldn't do again.

And a friend is also someone that you love unconditionally (yes I love my friends.. guy or girl)... even when they're dating someone that just makes you want to shake your head and throw some water in their face to wake them up. (I have one of those friends)

A friend is also someone that gives you the best advice they can.. but then doesn't hold it against you when you don't follow it. Even when they were right and you were wrong. Of course they certainly reserve the right (and you can't get upset when they use it) to say 'I told you so'!

I'm not here to point fingers or solve problems and I have grown to like each and every one of you... for different things of course. I think the older I get (younger than most of you) I realize a few things:

1) IMO... what makes people great are their individual views and beliefs

2) No matter how many friends you have a few more is a good thing... even if they are *forum friends.* BTW... I've meet some of my best friends through forums... even a business partner and our first year in business we did a little over $300K.

3) The most important.... don't try and read into everything that is posted... it is often very hard to communicate emotions when typing on a forum... therefor it is often hard to tell if someone is joking or being sarcastic.

little sadie is a infrequent poster, a somewhat quiet girl who spends most of her time behind the scenes, but all of you seem to have some type of relationship with her....good or bad. Even though some seem to like her and some seem to dislike her, you are all in a position to hurt her...one way or another.

But know this.....I will come to your towns, hunt you all down likes dogs and kick the ever loving poop out of the individual who puts one tear down the face of my online sissy.
