I'm from Illinois. I grew up a Bears fan. You don't just change teams because you move. I didn't become a Redskins fan when I lived in Washington D.C., and I'm not about to become a Cowboys fan now.

Well the Cowboys did lose. But it was about time for Romo to have a bad day. I think they played much worse than they are. Doubt they'll make it to the Superbowl, but they'll make the playoffs.

I agree, they played much worse yesterday than they are. But the Saints are for real. Sean Payton was the QB position coach under Parcells. You think he was at all familiar with Romo? That was one of the best coach games I've seen in a long time (by Payton, that is). The onside kick to put the nail in the coffin was a stroke of genius (and guts). And I gotta give Reggie Bush his due. I hated seeing that effer strut around after every good carry. But that dude has game. I just hope he doesn't get too full of himself. If he carries himself with the same poise as someone like Emmitt, he'll get a lot of respect from NFL players and fans all over the country.

Yeah, he should try to emulate someone like Tomlinson, who's very humble, and doesn't act like it's a big deal when he scores.

I think last night proved that he isn't. He was totally exposed last night. Once these other teams realize that once you force him to stay in the pocket, he becomes very average.

What will expose Romo (other than perhaps Jessica Simpson) will be how he responds to this last game. If he comes out swinging and leads the Cowboys to another W he'll be fine. If he pulls his game back and changes his game, he's toast as a winning NFL QB.

I have a better idea, let's talk about a team with a real record, Da Bears, who won last night, and are now 11-2. Grossman looked alot better. Much more relaxed. And Devin Hester, OMG! Two kick returns for for touchdowns(Six altogether this year, a NFL record!) :jump1:

As I learned in my Fantasy League, regular season records mean squat when you get to the playoffs. Hoping for a Bears vs. 'Boys matchup during the post season, since they didn't get to play during the regular season. You have to admit... the Bears have had a relatively easy schedule compared to other teams. Packers (twice), Vikings (twice), Lions (twice), Bills, Cardinals, 49ers, Dolphins???
I don't see the Colts, Saints or Falcons in their regular season schedule. Granted they played the Pats (and lost), the Giants, and the Seahawks, but that's 3 out of 13 games (only 2 of which were wins). They have the Bucs, Lions, and Packers left on the schedule??? Wish the 'Boys would've had that schedule.
The 'Boys schedule: Jacksonville, Philly (x2), Giants (x2), Saints, Colts, Atlanta... much tougher schedule (IMHO).

The Bears don't make the schedule. It's not their fault that those other teams suck. The Bears played the teams on that schedule, and beat them like they were supposed to. No matter how bad a team is, it's not guaranteed that they will get beat. Look how the Texans beat the Jaguars twice. Who would've thought that the Cardinals would've beaten Seattle, or the Jags would've beat Indy?
When the Cowboys end their season at 10-6 (or 9-7), at least they'll have the satisfaction of saying they had a tougher schedule than the Bears.
The Cowboys get all the hype, and the Bears get the wins. If I had a choice between wins and hype, I'd take wins, no matter how easy our schedule is.
If the Bears don't make it to the Super Bowl, then I'd really like to see a New Orleans/San Diego Super Bowl.

Here's your SuperBowl matchup.......
Bears/Ravens
This will go down as one of the best SB ever
A defensive struggle
the Bears win the game on the last play of the game...
a 52 yard FG by Robbie Gould

I thought we were hi-jacking this bears thread and turning it into a Dallas thread, as things should be.
No but seriously, I don't see da Bears beating the Aints if the Aints continue to play like that. They were phenominal and have all the elements in place. Still not sure da Bears do, but it will be a good game no doubt. But I've certainly been wrong before.
I don't see the Chargers getting beat in the AFC, I'm betting a Chargers/Aints SB.
The Aints made the boys look like a college team the other night unfortunately, but who knows, maybe it was because Peyton knew them like the back of his hand. But we'll see if they suck it up and play like men or a bunch of prima donna Doo$hbags this Saturday night against da Birds.

The N.O. Hurricanes don't have the defense to play with Chicago, IN THE THIRD WEEK OF JANUARY, at night, to Win the NFC. As a matter of fact, I believe that the Bears opposition for the NFC title will end up being The Giants.

No one's knockin' the Bears... they're one helluva good team. Sure, the 10-2 record is great for locking in homefield advantage in the playoffs, but based on the regular season schedule, the record isn't a great indicator of how they would fare against other playoff teams. That's all I'm sayin'.
Obviously, I would love to see a Bears/Cowboys matchup rather than a Saints/Cowboys matchup in the playoffs. I think the best all-around team in the NFC right now is the Saints. Their offense is virtually unstoppable. In the last 6 games, only Cincinnati held them to under 30 points. And in their last three games, their defense hasn't allowed a team more than 17 points.
You're right about a Saints/Chargers matchup being a good one for the superbowl. Of course, I'd rather see a Cowboys/Bills superbowl. :O)

Well, the road to the Super Bowl will go through frigid Soldier field. No nice warm domed stadium with artificial turf. Just snow, ice, wind, and nice hard cold ground to fall on. Welcome to Chicago, Reggie Bush!

Combined Weather/Sports report for Chicago area - January 21, 2007
NBC5's Brant Miller Reports:
Well folks, for your NFC Championship matchup in Chicago today, it looks like we're going to have an area of high pressure settle in over the Southwestern tip of Lake Michigan. This is going to bring unseasonably warm temperatures up to 75 degrees in some areas of the city. Warm northeasterly breezes will bring an unusual amount of humidity into the Windy City. It looks like our chances of Grossman's fingers freezing together, making him more useless than he already is and forcing Lovie to bench him, are slim. Not only will the Bears have to face the Saints in New Orleans-type weather, they will inevitably have to overcome 4 interceptions, 3 lost fumbles, and 7 sacks.
okay, kinda dumb, but hopefully got a couple of chuckles.

So how was that related to the Cowboys?
I can't wait to see either the Aints, Boys or the Gnats spank da Bears, the road may go through Soldier field, but da Bears are finally going to get a good spanking in the 2nd playoff game or the NFC championship game, one way or another, da Bears aint going to the show.
Da Boys, Da Aints, Da Birds, Da Bears. (I just like sayin it that way.)

We may not. Some of our injuries have really hurt us on defense. Mike Brown, Tommie Harris, Nathan Vasher just to name a few. However, with the NFC as weak as it is, I think we have a very good chance.
