Across the country, in seven cities both large and small, thousands and thousands of great (and not-so-great) singers lined up for their chance to become the next American Idol! Some blew us away and some just blew it.

What really wind's me up is Simon...everyone who enter's has a gift and you shouldn't critsize so harshly...I hate SIMON!! :mad:

Anyways a bit of topic and something more postively driven well done too 'American Idol' runner-up who releases his first album.

Bice's "The Real Thing," which comes out Tuesday, features songs by Jon Bon Jovi and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, as well as reigning Grammy Award-winning Producer of the Year John Shanks. But Bice says he's confident "The Real Thing" is an accurate representation of his music.

I liked Bo Bice in the middle of the show. By the end of the show I was a bit off on him. In fact by the end of last season I was off on the whole show. I think they really need to get back to their pop roots with the finalists. While Bo is not exactly Ozzie Osbourne and Carrie Underwood is not Tanya Tucker, it was still a bit too divergent for where I think the show needs to be.
