Kelly is coming your way.....

SHE is living proof that the Idol TV talent quest franchise can result in lasting success, and now Australian fans are about to get their first taste of Kelly Clarkson live.

The American singer will embark on her first Australian tour in November, taking in all major mainland cities and a few regional areas.
She will play at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on November 6 and tickets will go on sale at BASS on September 28.

she got a great review in a paper near me - i remember dumping it in a relevant thread in IDF.

WHoever the critic was, he thought she was brillliant and showed our supporting act Rogue Traders how to rock it and hold the audience. It was short but very good critique. She's gone down well, her songs are played all the time, which is fabulous. I believe she may have had to cancel her New Zealand tour due to voice stress?

Guy has a really strong (as in use LOL) voice and he got a virus last year, just near the end of the last leg of the tour and it certainly can make a difference. I guess the late nights and continual touring and airplane travel takes its toll. I often have probs. after air flights, because of the dry air.

We have an interview on video / dvd of kelly talking withothers. SHe's certainly beautifully natural. She was a great hit here, and her cds are now selling very well.

So glad she is being acknowledged the artist she is. We have such trouble with the musos and critics - ALL OF WHOM PRAISED GUY TO THE SKIES WHILE THE COMPETITION WAS ON.

Stuff like - if Aus Idol did something right it was that it brought Australia Guy Sebastian, a musician etc etc and etc.

Unfortunately, as soon as anyone gets to a 'top spot' in Australia, the most of them then try to pull them down - the tall poppy syndrome. I have never seen it so marked as in Australia. It reaches horrific proportions.

So these wretched people (not all, of course - how could they ?) are so hypocritical!! I wish I'd kept every little word they'd said ... As it is, a few rock bands who have been so "competition sneer" - Regurgitator and Powderfinger - have also had the benefit of competition prizes here in Brisbane. And the lead singer of Powderfinger, who has turned out a really good album and two great singles so far, Bernard Fanning - who also sneered and said Guy couldn't communicate to the audience (THAT SHOWED HE'D NEVER SEEN HIM IN CONCERT BECAUSE THAT IS PROBABLY HIS MOST STRONGEST POINT - a huge write up / critique commenced with the words "If you aren't a Guy Sebastian fan yet you haven't seen him live" - after seeing shows all round the world I would have to say Guy has the most projection, energy and audience empathy I have ever seen)

well - (getting back to the point), Bernard would still not have done so well with sales if it wasn't for the fact he was so well known and had an established fan base already. Our MTV nominations are out at the moment - and to say I'm disappointed is the understatement of the year.

I'm not going to say what exactly I think, but it would appear much thought goes into the nominations, together with a lot of effort. The resultant list is -
interesting.

She's not too bad... I don't care for everything she has done but I do like a few songs.
