GUY SEBASTIAN HAS BEEN NOMINATED FOR THREE AWARDS

The 2006 Urban Music Awards will be hosted by a variety of well-known music and entertainment, industry personalities and VIP guests including main co-hosts Maya Jupiter and DJ Sir-Vere along with international and local celebrity guests, musicians, radio and TV presenters.

Confirmed to perform on the night will be Australian and New Zealand artists:

The Herd, Fast Crew, Jade MacRae, Israel, 13th Son, El Shaddai Crew, Savage, Deni Hines, Blak Genius, Phrase, Koolism, Mareko, Justice & Kaos, Suburban Intellect, Weapon X & Ken Hell, Kid Confucius, Smashproof feat Juse, Stan Bravo, Figgkidd, DJs Nino Brown, Moto, Samrai, Peter Gunz, Tikelz and Guy Sebastian.

Interview with Lowie, at Guy's Palm Beach home (now being sold, so he can live closer to the airport - at present taking longer to drive home from the airport than it does to fly from the venues - but further from neighbours). Note that the deck looks out over the sea. Beautiful place, worth over a million Aust.

The UMAs. He came out, guitar and all (so he didnt do his usual stage styling - ditch the guitar Guy you are a master at natural stage styling). Fabulous. The voice!

The intro to Trade This Love was AWESOME, FABULOUS, LUSH, ROCKY, BUILDING UP INTO SOMETHING THAT HAD YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEATS AND THEN
into Trade This Love.



Oh and the band was really really really terrific, I might add.

The red jacket about 20 times better than it looks in the photos. The flash seems to have 'concentrated' everything, but the jacket was also lush and rich, in reality, and the electric blue just lifted, because your eyes are trying to compensate for the blueness and so lifts the red into a different zone. Jules work? Or just accidental. Whatever, brilliant artistry as far as colour work.

The shoes. Only Guy LOLZZ. Definitely suitated the Urban Music Awards.

They went well, it appeared well organised - except some obvious probs in communication with those backstage, for some reason.

Oh, and the audience - generally - tends to be 'too cool' at the beginning. They need major warm ups. And a damned heater in there, it was freezing.

But well done, congratulations to the organisers, should make good TV (fox??) The rappers, hiphops, soul and RnB artists were fabulous, dancers were in the same league.

Can't actually pick my faves, there were so many, but one of the last greats were Figgkidd, Jazzy Jeff (now THERE is some with something going) Israel - why hasn't there been more push with him??? Eh?? and others because I was too overwhelmed. cannot talk too much, hands sore and throat ditto.

Jade was fantastic, some were - I was a little disappointed, but generally - the whole was great.

But the mainstay of this thread? Scrumptious. Absolutely scrumptious. And Jules too. Oh, and David.

thank you David, he made sure that Guy was steered to his everwaiting crowd.
