I think one-hit wonders would be really good. I remember one of my big problem with last season's show were the themes. Several weeks the themes were not very good and/or contestants just used horrible judgement in selecting songs.
How about a beach music theme. :)

Trying to collect a list of the themese used last season:
March 15th 2005 - 60s Week
March 22nd 2005 - Number 1 Hits
March 29th 2005 - 90s Week
April 5th 2005 - Broadway Show Tunes <This is when I started hating last season>
April 12th 2005 - Songs from the year the contestants were born
April 19th 2005 - 70s Week
April 26th 2005 - Songs of the New Millennium (2000-2005)
May 3rd 2005 - Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller song/ Current Top 40 Billboard Hit
May 10th 2005 - Motown and Country week
May 17th 2005 - Clive Davis' Choice/ Judge Choice/Contestant Choice
May 24th 2005 - Finals (Judges Choice / Contestant Choice)
Overall I think the themes were weak compared to previous seasons.
