Everyone has their own opinions on how the Idols performed, but I'm wondering how everyone feels about the judges' comments, particularly last night.
I thought Cowell was off the mark with his comments to Taylor on the first performance. I thought Taylor's performances were both quite good.
I did think he was a little harsh on Kat last night. Her performances weren't anywhere close to her best, but they weren't absolutely terrible. She was by far the worst one last night, and being that Simon has few left to pick on, he had to reserve his negative comments for her. If he really felt that way, perhaps he shouldn't have been so aggressively critical. It will only cause her fans to work harder on the phone lines.
His comments to Elliot were dead on. Elliott does deserve to go through to the next round. I'm skeptical about that happening, but I totally agree with him.
I think his comments to Chris were pretty close too. Chris wasn't on his a-game last night, but I too thought his second performance was better than the first.
I'm really not gonna comment too much on Paula's nonsensical banter. She means well, but offers little constructive criticism to any contestant.
I'm really getting tired of Randy's "we gotta hot one tonight" bit. These are the final four. They should all be hot at this point. But at least he does seem to do the best job of offering constructive criticism. His comments are usually pretty much in line with what I'm thinking. I like how he points out specifically what works and doesn't work. Makes his comments stand out more than the other judges, that is when he's not dropping names or shouting out one of his Arsenioisms.
