View Full Version : Judges' Comments

Everyone has their own opinions on how the Idols performed, but I'm wondering how everyone feels about the judges' comments, particularly last night.

I thought Cowell was off the mark with his comments to Taylor on the first performance. I thought Taylor's performances were both quite good.

I did think he was a little harsh on Kat last night. Her performances weren't anywhere close to her best, but they weren't absolutely terrible. She was by far the worst one last night, and being that Simon has few left to pick on, he had to reserve his negative comments for her. If he really felt that way, perhaps he shouldn't have been so aggressively critical. It will only cause her fans to work harder on the phone lines.

His comments to Elliot were dead on. Elliott does deserve to go through to the next round. I'm skeptical about that happening, but I totally agree with him.

I think his comments to Chris were pretty close too. Chris wasn't on his a-game last night, but I too thought his second performance was better than the first.

I'm really not gonna comment too much on Paula's nonsensical banter. She means well, but offers little constructive criticism to any contestant.

I'm really getting tired of Randy's "we gotta hot one tonight" bit. These are the final four. They should all be hot at this point. But at least he does seem to do the best job of offering constructive criticism. His comments are usually pretty much in line with what I'm thinking. I like how he points out specifically what works and doesn't work. Makes his comments stand out more than the other judges, that is when he's not dropping names or shouting out one of his Arsenioisms.

I'm pretty much bored with all the judges at this point. They say the same things every week. "karaoke", "cabaret", "Just aw'right", "Your outfit is cute", blah, blah, blah.

We should start a campaign to vote off the worst judge during the finale. Of course it would be Paula, but maybe they could find someone who doesn't seem so out of it, and would let Simon talk uninterrupted.

How about it moderaters? Can't we have a link to vote for the judges? The bottom vote getter should go! If they did this every season, the judges might feel obligated to give concise and constructive opinions instead of "Whoa dog, that just didn't work for me" or "I love those shoes".

I am pretty bored with the judges too. Especially Paula I am almost embarrassed for her. Does she ever watch the show back and see that she does not have her own opinion she just uses Randy's. In the begining of American Idol she was my favorite but now she is my least favorite. I even like simon better than her.

Chris will not joining FUEL. Read my post "Quit your whining, Chris Fans" for more information.

In terms of the judges...
Paula is on Drugs...
Randy's comments are worthless.
Simon is not perfect by any means, but he knows what he is talking about more than the other judges.

At this point in the competition, the judges of AmIdol are worthless as they dont really affect the outcome of the show.

That just about sums it up for me.

For the most part, the judges are rather pointless now. I don't agree with about half of what Simon is saying these days, mostly because I feel the judges are simply trying to "spin" voting, moreso than offer any real constructive criticism.

Oh and Randy is the same 10 second soundbyte he was at the beginning of the season.

Agreed totally, SoS. Couldn't have said it any better myself.:)

Despite his harshness, Simon is the only one that even comes close to making constructive criticism. The rest are jokes. And not good jokes either. Jokes like:

A horse walks into a bar. The bartender asks "Why the long face?"

What is wrong with all of you people!!!!Then judges are human beings also. They try their hardest to always do a good job. I think that you are bad people for getting angry with the judges. Try to put yourself in their place....I especially like Paula. She has added so much to this seasons show that if it hadn't been for her I don't think the ratings would be good.

Don't put Paula in the same class as the mentally-handicapped... they may get offended. ;)
