If he was on I would lose the little respect I have left for him.

I think if they did have Celebs they should draw new hot celeb pop stars that are popular today to draw a bigger crowd to watch the show. Like Jessica Simpson, or someone like that.

I don't think either one of these guys know music inside and out. They are just rock stars. Nothing more. They may know music but neither are very good with vocals. Both of them are very much into putting on a show, not making sounding good.

I think Barry Manilow would be a great judge. You may not all like him, but he knows his stuff.

You're referring to Jagger and Steve Tyler? That's an amazing comment. They've both been around over 40 years, write their own music and plan its performance and really understand the blues base of rock. Ever been to either one in concert? It's amazing.

Stars that last have real talent. Fans aren't stupid or clueless. Taken out of context, others have better voices. But in context of singing to us with music they created, very few do better. Just how many AI contestants will be performing at the largest venues in 2046?

Also, Tyler has had to cancel shows for throat surgery. Hopefully his healing will be quick and complete.

I think Barry was a guest judge on Season 3, so they may not use him again. Personally, I'd love a Bacharach/David theme week, with Burt being a guest judge. The guy is an absolute legend as a songwriter.

How about Wille Nelson!

I think Prince would bring the show to a whole new world. I like to see chris do Let's go crazy. Taylor doing Purple Rain..

That would be ok, if they didn't include a country week.

My choice for guest celebrity judge would have to be actress Marlee Matlin

Flav and 50 cent would bring ratings, but neither are singers.

I'd like to see "Babyface" Kenny Edmonds as a judge. Here's a singer/songwriter who knows the business and is responsible for churning out talents like Toni Braxton. He's written songs for everyone from Prince to Madonna, as well as releasing quite a few hits of his own.

On a serious note, you're right, Babyface is extremely talented. I'd also like to see the likes of Billy Joel or Sir Elton John.

I'm really tired of old farts like Barry Manilow, Kenny Loggins, and Neil Sedaka. First off, I hate their music. It's so bland and boring. They always get these has-beens that nobody cares about anymore. Then they force these kids to sing that crap. I think the only cool judges they ever had was Gene Simmons and Mark McGrath. I think they should have John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) of the Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd. He would really tell it like it is. He would probably make Simon cry. I'd rather watch that than have to listen to another two hours of Barry Manilow.

Might be interesting to have the guys from INXS too, since they actually did judging for their own band on TV.
