Kat is starting to choke. She's the most marketable one on the show, but I think Taylor will win it all. Chris will end up second or third. Elliott will be out next week.

Sadly I agree, even though I love Elliott and vote 300 times for him each week, it won't be enough to get him past the people who are voting for Taylor and Chris. Now, he might beat Kat in case she chokes again, but I don't find that very likely. But, he made it to the top 4 and that's pretty good in my opinion. I think Kat will go next and I think Taylor will win just because he's had such a good buzz ever since his audtion.

Yes. Elliott should be very proud, regardless of what happens next week.

I hate to say it, but I think a guy. Kat is the most talented one left. Choke or not, her voice is so much more versitile than any of the guys. It'll be sad day if Taylor wins. He has a good following, but they're not voting for talent. They're voting for a likeable guy. But when it comes to buying is records, I doubt he'll get anywhere. He'll be good on talk shows, blah blah blah, but in concert? After two songs, I'd leave. And I'd only be there if I got a free ticket. I could easily sit through the others before Tayler, and that includes Elliot.

Did you not know that they charge $1.50 a call now? So your bill is going to be about an extra $450 bucks next month. You better grab your phone bill before your parents find it and tear it up. Tearing the bill up always works.

Nice double standard.

You were the one who was ranting and railing about how upset you were that people were making fun of Paula being such a dipstick because you read in the "South Carolina Coupon Shopper" that she was on pain meds.
You went to great lengths to chide everyone for their insensitivity. Well, insensitivity, meet thyself!

A number of people have expressed their wish to see a guy win this year. Even though that sounds fair but it is illogical. This is a contest. If we subscribe to this kind of logic, then we will end up having a girl, a guy, then a girl and then a guy.
Normally, in any contest, you would want the best to win, or whoever has the most "complete package."
It is slightly disconcerting to see people criticising Katharine for being nervous. Of course, she's nervous. So are the other three. They are playing for big stakes here.
If no one is nervous, that won't be normal. I have seen the faces of Elliott, Chris and Taylor. Every single one of them was nervous. I expect them to be so.
Katharine was just being honest about her feelings. She will get over it so will the others. A lot of big time, professional singers have admitted that they do get nervous just before a performance. It is also a feeling that makes them want to do better. A rather normal behaviour under the circumstances.
I wish the remaining four all the best. They have shared so much that it doesn't really matter what we think of them at this juncture. I reckon they will remain friends for a very long time.
It is always fun to see your favourite singer on a winning streak but that doesn't happen all the time. So I am wishing for all the four to do their best and then leave it to the people out there.

Might best projection would be Kat and Chris--
I think Elliots likley to go this week--He wont be able to hold the notes that Elvis kicks out in his songs and make it sound good. Not that Elliot is all that bad--pretty damn good singer if you ask me--but I dont think he'll last another week.
Im bettin on Chris Kat and Taylor--they can call nail the Bluesy songs --perfect if your Singin the hits from the King of Rock and Roll.
As far as it being a male or female think--WHO CARES---I just want someone to win who might actually end up hearing a hit from Like Kelly Clarkston--UNLIKE-Fatasia, Ruben--I think Chris can definately pull that off.

One thing thats got me a little furstrated is that people keep building up Kat because shes versatile---But how many artits out there are truely THAT versatile to their ture love of music taste--I dont see C. Dione singing Billy Idol Songs or whitney houston rockin out to Pink. I dont think that versatality makes a good artist--a Good artist should have character and be able to sing the style of music they like very well --I dont think Its fair to say someone is not a good singer because they cant sing every style of song well. and by thay token I dont see kat rockin out to LIVE, VanHalen, Metallica, AC/DC---so lets not build her up too much---On the other hand she has a remarkable voice--and I give her credit for that--But to say she should win this AI because she is versatile would be wrong.

The bands that you mention don't really go hand in hand with American Idol. If a person, say Chris for example, sang that kind of music, and won AI, I doubt that the rock stations would play that person's CD, once it was out, because they kinda look down on AI. Kat has been versatile with whatever genre she has been required to sing. It's not a requirement for her to sing AC/DC or Metallica. If you notice AI has never had a Heavy Metal theme night. They have to pick something middle of the road, that most people know or like. Not everyone is into Hard Rock.

Agreed, infact I thought they took a bit of a risk with the Queen night, but they seemed to pull it off. One thing puzzlels me tho, at the start of the finals, there are 6 girls and 6 boys, so why does every theme seem to involve a male artist? how is that fair to the females? why can't we have a Diana Ross night, or a Madge night, or something that I would really love, a Eurythmics night. Annie Lennox is one of the best female artists out of the UK in ages.

Good point. A Diana Ross night would be very good. I always liked the Stray Cats version of "You Can't Hurry Love". I think there are alot of songs by female artists that guys can sing. For example, Cake's version of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" is one of my favorites.

For the record--my point was not that we should be seeing AI sing Heavy metal--My point was that some of the best artists out there cant sing songs from other bands--For example Kat did a really bad Job with Elvis last night and as loraine mentioned that in part was unfair to her because the theme night was really geared toward male vocalists. Once again I dont expect Chirs to sing aretha Franklin Just as i dont Expect Kat to Sing Nickel Back--by the way NOT a heavy meatal band.
Well now I think we all know that Kat didnt do well so kinda a lost case because shell likley go home tonight. Just wanted to make sure people understand the point I was trying to make. Rock on Chris and Taylor---the next 2 finalists !
