I know everyone thinks that Elliot is so talented on this forum. Honestly, I think he has a great tone to his voice. I just wish someone would tell him to control the vibrato in his voice. It has gotten to the point where I change the channel when he is singing, it is so annoying. I am so surprised that no one has told him that yet. Maybe it is just his style of singing, but not one that I will ever listen to.

I wish Taylor would stand still and sing for once instead of jerking around like he's having a seizure! Oh and I wish Chris would sing more songs without shouting. That is kind of why I am glad Paris is gone so I don't have to hear her shout and go "hey" either.

Yes, Taylor should just stand still in a straight jacket and sing just to fulfill everybody's wish. No movement allowed. It's a good thing Elvis didn't listen to advice like that.

Is your Tivo broken??? It must keep playing the same AI episode over and over... Taylor simply stood still behind the mic and sang for about 1/3 of his performances. Chris sang several songs without shouting. Sorry you missed those... they were great performances.

Why don't we focus on the fruitcake Katharine who was stupid enough to sing an entire song on the floor. I remember she said she wanted to step outside the box. Well I think she should step into reality or better yet....step on a plane and go the h*ll home!

I gotta tell ya she is very sexy--from a guys perspective--but I dont think that she should win the competition for that reason and for the record---singing that song on her knees didnt do it for me--that it was a little corny to be straight out--but shes still got a great voice--good for the final 2 IMO.

Everybody has their own tastes. I would like to see Taylor win. However, I think Kat has a legitimate shot because she's very marketable, along the same lines as Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. I could see her fanbase being broader than the other two because she's more middle of the road. Although Chris is very talented, he's very limited to the type of people that he appeals to. Chris only appeals to people who like Hard Rock. People who are really into R&B aren't going to vote for him or buy his CD's. Taylor appeals to people who listen to quite a different variety of music. Taylor can sing Rock, Blues, R&B, and some Country. He's also going to appeal to an older crowd (like me). Kat will appeal to just about everybody. Kat can sing just about anything and she has the looks to go with it. I can see her singing the National Anthem at next year's Super Bowl. I can see teenage girls buying her CD's and T-shirts, and other products. She's very marketable and I can see her doing very well if she wins this thing. But, I'm still hoping Taylor wins!

Ill agree with you on the popularity bit --thats what worries me for Chris--But I have to say hes highly marketable too--you have to look bakc in history of this show--I cant see myself buyinh any ruben records he definately wasnt singing any rock songs--so Im not sure if Im with you 100%---but I will agree with Kat being marketable--but we all have been in agreement about that aspect with Chirs and Kat..Taylor is in the running too but I think he annoys a lot people with his terrets like dancing--not that hes not a cool cat--love the dude--I dont really think hes got the rock and roll thing --maybe some contemporary or light rock--but hes not going rock out any metallica or Iron Maiden. I think Chris could get down with blues stuff--Look at groups like Black crows, Led Zeplin--and even Elvis--all geared their rock music to a blues style and made hit huge--Chirs could easily sing anyof that---Now dnot get me wrong Chris has his limitations--but I think with the remaining contestants in mind he really is the best for music industry.
So Chris and Kat---tough call well see in the next 2 weeks!.

I feel that Chris is alot like Ruben in a totally twisted way. Ruben only appealed to the R&B/Hip-Hop crowd. Plus the fact that he weighed over 300 pounds didn't help much. Little Susie Creamcheese from Boise, Idaho wasn't going to buy his CD. That's the way I feel about Chris. People that are alot more urban aren't into Hard Rock or Heavy Metal. So, they're not going to be into him. However, people from all over will buy Katherine's CD. She appeals to everyone. People from suburbia will buy her stuff and so will people from the city and rural areas. All three are so diverse, I don't feel that anyone is better than the other. Comparing Chris to Taylor is like comparing apples to oranges. The same with comparing any of those two guys to Kat. It's all about what you are into. I just feel that Kat has the broadest range of fans, and that's what the AI producers really want.

I still dont buy into the broadest range of music style---I think Kat can get the Bluesy pop stuff but shes no Pat Benatar--although now that i think about it would be interesting to hear her sing some songs from PB. I think Kats draw back is similar to what happend with Paris--somehow these teenage girls view her has errogant, fake, threatening an dont think theyll want to keep her as with Chirs and even Taylor they tend to think of them as their next boyfriend or husband--and everyone know the majority of votes are coming from the 12-18 age group--any little gril with a cell phone or computer.
Im with ya on the no comparrison with Taylor and Chris aspect--they are 2 really different people-but I think Chirs is going to capture both the rockers, and the teeny bopers--where as chris will catch the teeny bopers and a few baby boomers but their not the ones voting. so I think that taylor is going to be out not next week but the week after--Elloit cant hold up to Taylor Chris, and Kat--theyve got the top 3 bagged.
I gotta tell ya I think Chris can sing more than Rock-though and thats our point of contention- Look at what he did with that Armstrong song---beautiful job--Now that wasnt straight out R and B but that wasnt hard rock-and niether was the Bon Jovi or Brian Adams songs--those were definatley songs that are going to grab the contemporary and pop fans --because I think with groups like Creed there is some interest in the general population in rock-like songs--Now if chirs ties up the show with heavy metal songs hes done--But with theme nights Like the impending Elvis night coming up that will keep him in check--Kat will be straight too and probably Taylor--But I dont see elliot pulling it off.
Now the big question is what themes will come up--if its male vocalist type songs or genre or rock genre I dont think Kat will make it---and especially taylor. Its goona be tight the next 3 weeks--but Im looking forward to it!

I don't agree. I think Katherine is just like Chris on the fact that she only sings pop songs and ppl who like rock, rap, and blues won't buy her CD's and btw katherine won't win since shes almost always behind taylor and Chris week after week. Only Taylor sings different varieties of songs but I Can't see him being successful after the show.

No I have watched every episode and I've seen Taylor stand still ONCE and Chris sing without shouting TWICE, that is not 1/3. The difference between Elvis and Taylor is Elvis isn't as good of a singer in my opinion as Taylor is. Taylor has a wonderful voice, I am not saying anything bad about him aside from his dancing around and acting spastic is DISTRACTING from his talent, just like Simon said, that aside from all his drunken wedding dad behavior, when he sang that Beatles song he didn't dance around a lot and it showed how talented he is. I think he needs to mix in more performances like that one with the next few weeks ahead of him and it would be wonderful.

I disagree with you. I think Katharine sang great as a country singer, she sings a lot of blues, she can sing rock ..hell that girl can sing anything. Just like Kelly Clarkson sang only pop songs but yet people in many genres have at least one song if not more that they love by her because she had broader appeal. This is why Fantasia and Ruben have vanished pretty much because they were not very mainstream. That is why I think Katharine has the most potential to reach a larger audience than Chris, Elliott, or even Taylor. The only people who will buy Taylor albums are the people who voted for him on AI. I have heard the CD he has on Amazon, clips of them anyway, and that's just not my style of music and if he makes an album like those, it flat out won't appeal to me. I would buy Elliott or Katharine's, personally, because I love the sound of Elliott's voice and I think Katharine can really sing and I'm sure anything they do will be great. I just hope Chris would do a more mellow record because people may like his "rocker" image, but they aren't honestly feeling his ROCK performances. He needs to sing middle of the road rock, kind of like Bon Jovi rock, not Creed, Live, Nickelback rock.

I rather watch Taylor dance around on stage than see Katharine try so hard to be sexy. Her need to do bluesy, sexy songs make me sick. If she wouldn't try so hard to be sexy, then maybe she would be. To the eye of the average Joe, she might come across the way she wants to, but I see right through her.

3. To the eye of the average Joe, she might come across the way she wants to, but I see right through her.
4. You know I do have advanced training in picking out the fake and arrogant.
1. Taylor doesn't dance, He mimics having an epileptic seizure.
2. When you say that Kat makes you sick, so do you actually vomit when you watch her? And how does trying not to do something actually makes that something happen?
3. "Average Joe" here Cloie, and yes I do think that she is sexy. Cloie, when you are "Looking Through" her what is it that you actually see? Do you see a tramp or a young woman trying her best to win?
4. You have had advanced training in "Picking out the Fake and Arrogant"? Where exactly did you receive this Advanced Training? Correspondence, Attended College credit courses? Or was it from the School of Hard Knocks? So tell me what is the criteria that you use to gauge an individuals phoniness and Arrogance? Really, I'd like to know.

Cloie I am SURE will be happy to address your summary, until then maybe I can help shine some light.
1. Taylor does dance, although I have said on this forum it reminds me of Elaine's dance on Seinfeld, nevertheless it's dance.
2. I can't wait to see her sing her LAST song, I don't enjoy her performances at all! I keep my emesis basin right beside me!
3. I don't see a tramp BUT see someone who appears to put on a face (much more than the other contestants). As for you being an average joe, well you would know!

Did you ever stop to realize and think, that when Elliot gets bad marks, from the judges, he smiles----------. Watch Kats face after a little bit. Then there is screaming Chris, his first song was good. He will make a remark like last night, after Simon said the song was too low, I thought it was too much monotone. Chris, said, quote, "it is how the song is written". Another smiler, is Taylor. These 2 guys deserve the respect that they give out. How bout it.
