On the Bobby Bennett fansites the general consensus is that if Bobby hadn't talked back to Simon, he would be in the final two along with Elliott. Does anyone agree?

No way. I think he would have gone further but not that far.

I may be wrong, but it seems like Bobby also didn't get the same air time that some of the other contestants had. It's not easy to build a fan base when no one knows your name. I just don't remember him from pre-top 24. I actually liked his rendition of Copa Cabana. At that point in the show, I really would have picked him to go further than Bucky.

Yes! Yes! That's it. It has nothing to do with talent. It has to do with talking back to Simon.
Sheesh. It wasn't like the dude lasted longer than five seconds. Besides, one light in the loafers contestant (ACE) was plenty for one season.
