Sorry that McCreepy, Durbnot, and Gamboahole made it, but at least Chris (Yawn) Medina is gone. Lusk, the black guy who wowed the judges and boo-hooed more than John Boehner, is neither marked as in or out at this stage. Looks like 18 people who sing mostly the same stuff except for McCreepy who only sings one "stuff".

I don't know about that Clint Jun Gamboa character. He seems like a real douche. The Elton John glasses really annoy me, and Brett Loewenstern makes Adam Lambert look masculine.

I thought Chris Medina was gonna be this year's Danny Gokey, but I guess not.

Hey you are right that the Gamboa guy is very unlikeable but he can really sing. Brett as I said is Carrot Top but he can really sing. However easily the best singer so far is Jacob Lusk but he seems emotionally fragile. If he can keep it together he will probably come in second to some talent challenged middle of the road type that stays below the radar.

You can call him gay and a douche, but how about acknowledging the guy has a spectacular voice and his God Bless the Child was one of the best performances ever on Idol from any round of the competition.

If this is accurate then Chris Medina is still around, Jacob Lusk did indeed make the top 40 also and Lauren Turner who I thought could really sing also made it through.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but he does have quite a range. I do think he's a little too weird though for the average idol voter.

I actually really liked last years season until Siobhan got voted off. Jacob is wierd, but I am not quite convinced that he will be all that wierd.

Well, you know how these teenybopper voters are. Most of them don't have any taste. That's why Lee won. They can't look past anything that's out of the ordinary. They want their clean cut, good looking, middle of the road, white guy, who doesn't offend anyone.

It might not sell any records, but that seems to be the pattern, over the last few years.

It didn't seem like the judges or his fellow contestants thought he was oversinging. Most everybody thought he sang excellently. Nice name calling on the sissy girl thing though. I also wish he hadn't broken down sobbing at the end of his performance and he might be emotionally fragile. He might break down and it seems like you are rooting for it to happen. Contestants take a song and distort it to show off. Maybe ok in auditions to get attention, but mostly a lot of dumb runs, screeches, and crappy falsettos. I hate to admit it, but I think She-bang from last season and Lamber inspired some of these people to scream instead of sing. I'm sick of it.

My term for what you are calling oversinging is vocal Diarrhea and the biggest offender I can think of is Christina Aguillera. Jacob was showing off a bit but I really liked it. Lambert's perfect highs were never actually screaming. If you want great Rock and Roll screaming give me Alice Cooper.

No, nothing about Libya. Apparently, sources now suggest that Chubby Bieber, Jaycee, was cut before the final 24. Add Tim Halperin to the list. Halperin is a good candidate to move along because he's a bland WGWG, and they usually win this thing. Check that. I meant McDonald, who's a WGWG. Halperin is a WGWP, but that could work for the tone-deaf, brain dead voters also.

Tim Halperin is a talented singer but not talented enough that he should be a threat to win this year. That said I agree with you that he is a threat to win this year. I don't know exactly what a WGWG is but I think I have the general idea. He will do solid performances every week, not ruffle anybodies feathers, and just keep sliding through.

We both knew that he wasn't very good. He lasted as long as he should have and maybe a little longer.
