I'm just sick to death of Paris. The difference between her speaking voice and her singing voice just freaks me out.... I can't get over it...:(

Yeah. In all honesty, if it were just tonight - if these singers had no fans - Kat would be so dead. I still hope Paris goes home because Paris is in this competition to figure out her life path... not to win. She can't win and shouldn't win, and that is why I think she should leave, although she is my second fav. and did well tonight.

Although she did well on that Mary J. Blige song, one thing that bothers me is how close she always sounds to the original. At points, she sounds exactly like the original to me. That's not an American idol, IMO, even though it does show how great a singer she is and it's an amazing thing.

What is your point? That is like saying, "if no one voted, we couldn't have an election." Makes no sense.

I still hope Paris goes home because Paris is in this competition to figure out her life path... not to win. She can't win and shouldn't win, and that is why I think she should leave.

Thank you Dr. Frued. How the heck to you know why Paris is in this competition? Trying to figure out "her life path". Puhleaze. Maybe her life path should be to move to one of those midwestern states you never heard of.

Optimistic about what? That over the next three weeks they will suddenly get better?

The idea that this year's talent pool is somewhat weak is far from an isolated opinion. Do you honestly feel that any of the remaining contestants are as good as Bo Bice or Carrie Underwood?

Does Bo Bice even get any airplay? Kellie and Carrie are definitely the two best that Idol has put out. I think Katharine sings just as well as Carrie, and I've heard some of Chris' pre-Idol music. Bo pales in comparison, IMO.

Taylor's in a different category. Apples to Oranges. He's good, but in a different way. He certainly has a bigger fan base than Kellie or Carrie did at this point in their respective Idol competitions.

Bo came back as a 'guest Idol' some weeks back and sang. He sounded as bad as Pickles did in her last two weeks. So yes, I think all the remaining contestants are as good as Bo. Carrie on the other hand.........

Well i guess thats where the difference of opinion comes in because if thats the type of music u listen to then of course your gonna feel like there the best but i listen to rap and r&b and Fantasia album definitely got alot of play. But dont get me wrong just because i dont particularly listen to that type of music i still think Carrie and Kellie have done an exceptional job.

I agree Kellie (not pickles) and Carrie are the best, but I have to differ that Kat is just as good as Carrie, I have never heard Carrie go off pitch, and although I think Kat is the best out of this bunch and is pretty decent, I have heard her go off pitch a BUNCH, as for Anastasia (WHO?) Never heard or saw a video of hers at all. Everytime I flip through the C&W video channel Carrie is playing, and Kellie gets much time on air as well. Not that I have been out trolling for Anastasia videos, didn't think she was the best that year either.

Who names their kid Fantasia, anyway?

I have a gorgeous granddaughter, age 3, but my son and daughter-in-law named her Altice!

I said, "What kind of name is that? It sounds like the name of a car. Hey, everyone, come look at my brand new Honda Altice!"

What ever happened to normal names like Fred, Eddie, Mary and Cindy? Oh and if you are a girl and your name ends in a "y" no changing it to an "ie" and putting little heart symbols over the "i's".

Enough is enough. No more Javon's, Shaueneill's or Akmed's. Give your children American names!!

I think there is a misunderstanding here. The opinions I expressed were that Katharine sings as well as Carrie and that Chris sings better than Bo. When I said that Kelly and Carrie were the two best that Idol has put out (in terms of record sales), that was a fact. Kelly's Thankful album was certified double platinum (2 million copies) and her Breakaway album has been certified five-times platinum (that's 5 million copies). That's in the US alone. Carrie's Some Hearts album was certifed double-platinum in less than two months and is now triple-platinum. Fantasia's I Believe album was certified double-platinum and her Free Yourself album was also certified doulbe-platinum. I'm not doubting the success of Fantasia... she's certainly won a fair amount of various awards and sold a heck of a lot of albums. I'm just saying that Kelly and Carrie sold more. Not saying that they're better artists than Fantasia. That's why Billboard's charts are categorized. Otherwise you'd be comparing apples to oranges.

I think the point is that most people like watching people dance, if they CAN dance, what Taylor does is well, I don't know exactly how to describe that, I know dancing when I see it and that ain't dancing. According to the social security administation here were the 10 most popular names parents gave their children in 2004:

Boys:
1 Jacob
2 Michael
3 Joshua
4 Matthew
5 Ethan
6 Andrew
7 Daniel
8 William
9 Joseph
10 Christopher

Girls:
1 Emily
2 Emma
3 Madison
4 Olivia
5 Hanah
6 Abigail
7 Isabella
8 Ashley
9 Samantha
10 Elizabeth

Fortunately, the number of people people giving their children ridiculous first names like "D'Brickshaw" or "Mayonaise" are still in the minority.

Analeise is a name that reflects some of my ancestry, and I don't care WHAT you, FalseIdol, think about it. It means "gracious" and that is something, False, that you will never be.

I kinda think you should name your baby FalseIDOL, it has a ring to it and its pretty original. It could have the nick name falsie.

LOL. Works for me.

Boy how times change---what we referred to as "falsies" in the 70's women now refer to as "wonder bras".

Personally, I'm more of a "truth in packaging" type of fella. If you're a 34b don't pretend to be a 34d cause as soon as I get it off I'm going to know.

Cloie, we DID actually consider your real name as a candidate for a girl. It was second. If we have twin girls, you're in business!:)

You haven't been paying attention. These days when it comes to names, spelling isn't a priority, but a course in "Hooked on Phonics" helps.

Well, it must be an interesting ancestry, cause when you type "Analeise" into MSN's search engine it responds:

Were you looking for anal ease?

ROFL.

It's a different spelling. Check "Annaleise." Or "Annaleese." Or about 5 other ways to spell it. It's pronounced Ahna-leese. Smart Butt.:D

LOL. You just reminded me of what my brother used to do whenever someone called him a smart ass.

He used to bend over, grab his butt cheeks and then say: "E = mc Squared".

You probably had to be there.

Was Elvis normal???? Don't know, he's the only person besides Elvis Costello that I have heard named Elvis.

There used to be a college running back for Nebraska named Elvis Redwine.

You're so much older than me that, even though I probably would've had to be there to get the joke, I still could not have possily been there. And probably wouldn't have wanted to be there, either.

No, only if you wish to fit in.

Look, if FlorenceNightengaleMusicLover feels she needs to name her kid "Heinz 57 Steak Sauce" it is no skin off my nose. I'm not going to be the one to have to explain to the kid why her classmates try to beat the crap out of her every day.

LOL. Is that supposed to be age smack? Boy you must be getting desperate. (For the record everyone I am 49, and quite proud to be this age!)

As for you not getting the joke, since your sense of humor hasn't seemed to develop much past "man slips on a bananna peel" yet, I'll give you a pass for once again being clueless.

Eh, fitting in sucks. Anyway, I wouldn't want to belong to a club that would have someone like me for a member.

Thank you Groucho.

That line is almost as good as what Victor Mature said when the Los Angeles Country Club, which has a long standing policy against allowing actors to join, turned down his membership:

I'm no actor. And I have the films to prove it!

I also hear they are expensive and I am also a miser, although I do spend some of my money on my girlfriend. Every other weekend I buy the condoms.

Yes, kids are expensive. Especially when they get to be in their teens. Their toys are more expensive.

See I knew I was right, my friends that have been married with kids (all now divorced) tell me that I was a genius for not getting married. Oh well I don't know if I would go that far, but....

To say nothing of their braces, prom dresses, athletic equipment, speeding tickets, etc. etc. etc.

But what is that old expression? I wouldn't give you dollar for another one or sell you any of mine for a million!
