I get a lot of random emails and I wanted to share one I got with you guys. Please don't flame me... these are not my facts/views just an email I got.

What would a day without illegal aliens really be like? Let’s try to imagine it... OBGYN wards in Denver would have 24% fewer deliveries and Los Angeles’s maternity-ward deliveries would drop by 40% and maternity billings to Medi-Cal would drop by 66%. Youth gangs would see their membership drop by 50% in many states, and in Phoenix, child-molestation cases would drop by 34% and auto theft by 40%

Ya, it's an interesting subject. To me, it's not about the politics or the logical pros and cons of immigration reform. What's interesting to me is that some people take such a firm stance, one way or the other, without fully understanding what they stand for. Just to give one example, one guy might point out that illegal aliens put some strain on governmental resources and cause us to pay higher taxes. Another guy points out that, without immigrants, our economy bogs down. So, these two guys put themselves on two separate sides of an issue, but the thing is, it's actually two completely separate and unrelated issues! Over the last couple of days, I've heard so many people mix up the words 'immigrant' and 'illegal alien' that it's no wonder Congress can't get anything done on immigration reform.

yeah... I think some people don't understand it fully. It's easy to watch the news and see someone say something and you can tell they don't understand the issues.

IMO... we need much better boarder controls (http://www.weneedafence.com/) before we can do anything else. Otherwise it's like trying to put out a 7 alarm fire with a garden hose.

I agree... securing the borders is a MUST, regardless of what immigration legislative action is taken. Especially since suspected terrorists (from terrorist harboring nations) have been apprehended at the soutern border.

IMO the idea of granting amnesty to illegals is ridiculous. You can't simply grant blanket amnesty to all illegal aliens. That would indemnify any potential / supected terrorists that may have slipped in illegally. What we can do is put up a fence, apprehend and send illegals (not 'immigrants') back and make them come in the right way, get a tax number, find legal work, and pay taxes. The fact is, we need immigrants in the country. They actually help create (as opposed to take away) jobs. They contribute to economic growth. There aren't very many of us that can say we aren't decendants of immigrants. IMO, immigrants=good, illegals=bad.

I heard an interesting comment today that sides with your thoughts on this... 'Since they are all out at these protests, it would make it EASY to round them all up and send them back!'

What scares me the most about the loose border controls in the U.S is how many young girls are being brought into this country to serve as sex slaves! We have got to do something about this!

Did you catch the story about how when the coyotes bring accross the young girls they never make it to where they should be going. instead they are never found again and are sold as sex slaves. sad stuff

I know several people that came accross with coyotes and there stories are sad.

The coyotes can be vicious.......They would rater leave you to die in cramped quarters to escape authorities than to save your life......and one must always be careful when traveling in Mexico unless you fly directly to a resort.....my brother didn't speak the language very well and almost found himself in trouble....he was helping a young girl get to another town with her newborn........no nothing fishy was going on my brother is gay...He was traveling to his boyfriends families home.....
