My answer is: Dunno!

No clue, seven of these nine were lousy last night, but four of those seem have a lead wall of tweenies around them. I would say Katie, Tim, and Andrew with Katie or Tim biting the dust.

Aaron, Andrew, Tim, or Katie could be B3. I wouldn't mind seeing either of them go.

I would say Tim, Aaron and Shiobhan(or Andrew) in bottom three with Aaron going home.

Either could go. Only one I could possibly see the judges 'saving' would be Siobhan. But I'm not 100% sure they'd use a save for her.

Chopper7

Last week, I thought Siobhan would be in the bottom three after the judges mistakenly trashed her performance. This week I think she showed her voice and finesse and probably won back some fans. Even if in the bottom three, I really doubt she would be last, but I expect the judges to use their save on her if she bites it before the last five. If they don't, they're even dumber than I thought.

I think the Judges would use the save on Siobhon if she got voted off this week.

Nice Beatles medley to start the show. I loved what the girls did with Fool on the Hill.

This about sums it up. Ryan just said the results are "shocking", so God only knows.

Hallelujah no females going home this week. We are guaranteed to be sending a guy home. Now I can't imagine the Judges will use a save on one of the guys.

Yep in a year when everybody agreed that the females were better than the males we are down to three women before one man is sent home.

We all know that Casey and lee will be the last two males left. It is pathetic that Tim is still in the competition.

tonight was what the save was created for. my guess is that michael's base will galvinize behind him and next week will be a different story. i don't see michael going home before it's down to 4 or 5. i question whether he can come back from the save to win it all. i still think he is the best of the guys, but lee is a dark horse. i still think it will or should come down to crystal and siobhan. at that point i will cheer for whichever of these wins or loses!

We think a lot alike. They had to use the save on Mike. He is the best of the guys, but I am almost certain that Lee and Casey will outlast him. I would not be surprised if Tim and Aaron and Andrew outlast him. Please lets send Tim and Andrew home next week.

Chopper7

Totally wrong to use the save on Michael. He is easily the best of the men left, but that means nothing. This result is the worst thing that could have happened at this stage because the save isn't available for Crystal or Siobhan. I think this nonsense this week almost guarantees that Siobhan is voted off in the next three weeks. I predict a final five of four worthless guys and Crystal.

On the basis of the "stars" who performed tonight, I can better understand why the voters prefer weak flashy singers. Contemporary pop music just plain sucks, and this stupid show just reflects the suckiness.

Had to be done but it sucks that we might lose 5 women before one guy.

Yeah, whatever. Any guy who would decide leave his wife hangin', and not be there for the birth of his child, so he could selfishly pursue his dream of being an Idol contestant, is a loser in my book.

Besides that, the guy totally sucks. He's like a Ruben wannabee, except not as good. If he's going to try to make a living out of singing, he'll probably starve to death. He'll be easily forgotten after the season is over.

He's definately not worth a save. Especially if Siobhan or Crystal get voted off, and the judges won't be able to do anything about it because they wasted it on that also-ran.

Maybe because they got rid of all the other black people, they're trying to hold on to this one. But with six guy and three girls left, they could afford to let him go.

It was absolutely the right decision for Michael to miss the birth of their child to stay on Idol and get the opportunity to make a good living to take care of that child. In the entertainment business it is all about getting the break you need. I am sure it tore him up inside to miss the birth. Teddy you go ahead and judge him. Who are you to say he was being selfish.

You have been calling Siobhan a fraud this whole season. Now you are worried that they wasted the save on Michael instead of saving it for Siobhan. My best guess is that Siobhan makes it to the top five and then the save is no longer an option. When the best of all the males is the first voted off the save had to be used. It is the judges one opportunity to try to correct a huge mistake.

Now lets get rid of Tim and Andrew next week. If Katie or Siobhan are booted that will be a travesty.

Would not have minded (and I'm sure they wouldn't have used the 'save') if Andrew or Aaron were the ones leaving. But AI has so pimped Mike that they were sure to save him. If Andrew leaves next week it will be a good thing. He's had one good performance so far. Amazed he's lasted this long. I just don't get Andrew. Just don't like his singing voice.

I don't think Andrew sucks but he is not good enough to still be around. Tim is the one that really should be gone. I am glad that it seems like Katie is finally getting some support. I was really worried about her getting the boot way before her time. Wouldn't it be awesome if we end up with a Crystal, Siobhan, Katie and Mike final four? It will never happen but that is my hope.

Yeah, you're right. Pursuing your dreams is much more important than being there for your family, as selfish as those dreams might be.

The birth of a child, your own flesh and blood > A 1 in 100+ shot of making it to the finals of American Idol.

But that's just me.

If he was really good enough to be a star, then he could've waited until after child was born to pursue any type of musical career. He's shittin' himself, if he really thinks he has a chance at stardom. There's nothing special about him, except that he looks like a retired linebacker.

I'm not worried about Siobhan, because I'm not a fan of hers. She's running on fumes, as far as I'm concerned. I just used her as an example, because she's your favorite, and you'll probably be heartbroken once she gets voted off. And, chances are, at least one girl will get booted off next week.

Teddy I find it hard to believe that you actually believe what you are typing. In the entertainment business it is often about getting that one break. There are thousands of people out there probably just as talented as Michael who never got their break.

How can you JUDGE that it is selfish to want to support your family even at the sacrifice of missing the birth of your child. If you are correct and he really has no talent than it is all the more important that he stayed on the show because he made it to at least the top 9 on AI and that can probably be parlayed into a living. It is far more important to be their for your wife and child for 18-60 years than to be there for that one day.

That's the point, he's not that good to begin with, so why is he wasting his time? He's overrated, and arrogant as hell. I have no idea why Idol is pimping him so much because he has no marketability. He's just a big black dude, who can't sing, who acts like an ass hole.

Yeah, that'll sell alot of records.

As a father, whose been there every time, for the birth of his children, and who still takes care of this children, I would say that some things in life are more precious than money. No, If I'm correct about him, then he made the wrong choice, because he's still going to end up, where he began.

So easy to judge others Teddy. No matter what I say you will not look at the other side of the coin. I guaranty you that I would have made the same choice that Michael did. I care that much about my family that I would have sacrificed the opportunity to be at my child's birth for the opportunity of providing a better life for my family.

As for him having the lowest number of votes this week is it just possible that had to do with AI being a popularity contest and not about talent. I think at Idolme we are pretty good about judging talent. The voters for AI are mostly teenage girls. That is not going to be a great demographic for Michael. He must be doing very well with the other demographics to have made it this far.

So what you are telling me is that you are not willing to sacrifice for your family? That might not be fair to you but you are being amazingly unfair to Michael. How about giving him the benefit of the doubt and thinking that he loves his family and did it for them.

As for the talent his vocals are virtually flawless. I guess you just don't like big black people who look like they could have played in the NFL.

I personally believe that Clay Aiken should have won the year Ruben did but I recognize that Ruben can sing quite well. I think Michael sings every bit as good as Ruben does.

Like I've said before, I don't think he sacrificed anything. It's not like they deployed him to Afghanistan, right before his wife went into labor. Hanging out in Hollywood, singing, and playing grab-ass, is not a sacrifice.

"Oh honey, it's really rough over here in Hollywood, but I'm doing it for you."

Yeah right.

He oversings everything, then it gets really annoying when he goes into that falsetto. He's a lounge singer, on a cruise ship at best.

You just don't get it. He sacrificed what you and I know is one of the greatest thrills in life to witness the birth of your child so he could be establishing the career he needs to take care of him. 100K isn't much for a recording artist, especially with all the people you have to pay off. For Ruben having to stoop so low, as to go on tour with Gayken, I doubt that he's faring too well.

Wow! What a melee! Teddy and Lance duking it out over a third-rate singer with no real prospects. I hated all that crap showing videos of the newborn baby and pimping Mike's concerns. I said it then, and I'll say it again: He should have been there. As it turned out, he probably won that gamble because he's gotten this far, but it was a total gamble and not worth missing the birth of his first child. Lance's support is so intense that he says: "I would not be surprised if Tim and Aaron and Andrew outlast him. Please lets send Tim and Andrew home next week." Hello! Why waste the save if all the other guys are likely to outlast him (and don't forget the ultimate winner, Casey). That's the dumbest decision ever. Also, Idol alert, no one gets to send anyone home. I wish we could vote people off and not on, but that's not the way it works. Next week, the bottom three will be Tim, Andrew, and Katie. It would not surprise me if Katie bites it. As I said, this stupid save probably cost Siobhan a spot in the top five. Once we get down to Crystal, Casey, Lee, Mike, and Aaron, there's no room for Siobhan.

What is this nonsense about what a travesty voting off Katie and Siobhan would be? This whole show is a travesty. They gather the dumbest collection of guys possible, some decent female voices, and then watch while the moron, texting, cell-phone toting tweenies knock the girls off one by one. Idol can't even manipulate the outcome anymore. They clearly desperately wanted a girl to win this year. Meanwhile they entertain us with the stupid comments of overpaid, loser judges and what masquerades as entertainment in the pop world. Hey next week, Glambert comes back to mentor. Maybe he can show all the at-least potentially gay guys on this show how to totally gay-out? Believe me, the travesty has just begun.

The biggest travesty is that we have twice as many guys as we do girls. It should be the other way around.

If they're going to waste a save, they might as well as used it on Didi. At least she was good to look at, and more enjoyable to listen to.

My reply with Quote. I am very disappointed in Teddy to make such judgments about other human beings with almost no information to go on. His thought IMO are just hateful and unfounded. As I mentioned to Teddy I will say the same thing to you Chopper. Maybe Mike was sacrificing his own desire to be there because he understood that to provide for his family Hollywood was where he needed to be. As you said it looks like the gamble paid off.

Casey is my pick to win now! He rocked my socks off with that Jealous guy song! He had my total attention. My other fave is that guy that had the bag pipe player. So those are my two picks to win.

Maybe you can't handle the truth. Anyway, I reserve the right to judge whoever I please, especially if they're somewhat famous. If it bothers you, then oh well.

Or maybe not. Maybe he just wanted to get away for a while, because he didn't have time for a needy pregnant wife, and wanted to pursue his dream of being a star.

So, you're saying the only way he can provide for his family, is though the entertainment industry. Don't you think you're stereotyping?

You really liked that huh? I thought it was awful.

I do like the John Lennon version, but my favorite is the Brian Ferry version.

Yes I figured you would reserve the right to be the moral conscience of the forum. Oh wait, isn't that making a judgment "about other human beings?" In your precious time away from the forum, go look up definitions of "ad hominem" and "hypocrisy". Unfortunately, I suspect Teddy and I will keep sticking it to you stuffed shirts, but I can't speak for him. BTW, Michael is barely ordinary and only belongs on the show because the other five guys happen to be worse.

Your socks must come off really easily if you liked either of these annoying singers, but then I just can't handle goat vibratos and mumbling disguised as singing. I do admit, however, that I have said I expect these two to finish 1-2 in the competition, but that result will have nothing to do with talent.

I am very silent this season, but I have some faves. I like Casey and Siobahn, love Crystal, and think Katie is amazing, just young. Only Crystal has been new, and this show is so tired and old.

I never said entertainment was the only way that Mike could provide for his family. As far as I know it is the best way he can provide for his family. I am choosing to give him the benefit of the doubt while you are looking for any way you can to be hateful. Sure you can judge anybody you want with almost no information to go on. It is your right. It is my right to call you out on making hateful judgments.

I actually thought that Jealous Man or guy whatever it was was Casey's best performance so far. The problem is that it was still nothing special at all. That really rocked your socks off? Anyway glad to hear from you.

Thank you for recognizing on Katie being quite good. She had been taking a lot of undeserved crap around here. She is my Mom's favorite. Crystal and Siobhan are the two best singers this year. Casey is a lesser version of Kris Allen. Women find him attractive, he plays guitar, and vocally he can carry a tune but not much more than that.

Yup. It's your right to judge me, just like it's my right to judge anyone else.

Anyway, I'm not being hateful, I'm just calling it as I see it.

Yep, he's the best R&B singer of the guys. Of course, he's the only R&B singer of the guys.

Teddy I am not making any judgments on you. I am just repeating exactly what you are posting. No judgment needs to be made. You are making a judgment on Michael and choosing to think the absolute worst thing possible. How do you like it when people examine things you do and look for the worst possible explanation for why.

You could be right. Maybe Mike is a total scumbag that saw this as a great excuse to get away from his wife and miss the bother of being expected to be there for the birth of his child. I see no information that could possibly lead me to believe such a hateful thing. I hope that when people judge us they use my standards and not yours.

You're really beating a dead horse. I don't know why you keep debating this. I stated my opinion, you disagreed, and that should be the end of it. Yet, you keep trying to convince me to see things the way you see it, and it's pointless.
