I found this article (I'm not going to link it because I don't want to promote this) about the odds each AI contestant has of winning.
Here are the odds:
Chris Daughtry is the favorite to win at +150 odds or $1.50 paid out for every $1 bet.
Katharine McPhee is listed at +225.
Taylor Hicks is listed at +325.
Elliot Yamin: +1000.
Paris Bennett: +3300.
I have to say the odds seem about right other then I don't think I'd put Elliot that low. Don't you think that if you're betting on AI it might indicate you have a gamboling problem? Has anyone out there put any money down on the finale? I think participating in an office pool where you in $5 or so is all right, but if you're betting $100's you probably have issues.

Gee Tommy, thanks for saving us from such sin and horror as ----- gambling! The British Casinos generally will let you bet on anything. This is no exception.
The Winn Casino in Vegas has been posting odds on American Idol the last fours years and has nailed it correctly in each of the previous three years.
Here were the odds they posted for season five back in March. (Do not click on this link unless you want Tommy to think you are promoting gambling).

Ha, ha, I guess I should clarify by saying that you're certainly welcome to bet because it's your life and your money, so you're free to do what you want. I don't even think there is anything wrong with a little gamboling as long as you know when to quit. I've even gamboled a little bit (slots and poker). It's just when you've lost all your money gamboling, you have loan sharks after you and you can't stop gamboling then this is a destructive habit. However, I don't think gamboling should be baned (not like it could be anyway). I'm just not going enable other people's habits. I also think it's a little weird to be betting on a TV show. It's amazing what people will bet on.

Now see, Ill bet on anything. But I really don't consider it "gambling" unless you can afford to lose! I keep my bets within my price range, but if you'd like we can bet on the show, I'll even take the underdog. (I'll just have to get busy promoting)

I'll bet you $1000 right now that False will have a good zinger come back to this. Does this make me a gambling junkie???? We better be careful, the new and improved (more sensitive) comic insult dog may berate us all for making "fun" of those recovering from gambling addiction.

This is the ONLY bet I would ever turn down.
Unless my money could be on false, then maybe double or nothing.
Where's my daddy?

Misspelling a simple word once is a typo; twice is carelessness, three times you were probably in a hurry, four times means you got distracted, BUT MISSPELLING A WORD FIVE TIMES IN THE SAME POST means you are definitely in line to be awarded the very first "Is Anyone Around here as Dumb as Kellie Pickler Award".

Oh, come on, I'm neither blond nor Southern. I'm just not very careful and I have trouble seeing my own mistakes. Not everybody can be perfect like FalseIdol. Ha, the chances that FalseIdol has never made an error are as likely as a polka theme appearing on AI tomorrow.

I actually thought I made a mistake once, but then when I checked I found out it wasn't a mistake after all so does thinking you made a mistake when you didn't count as a mistake?

Don't worry Tommyj False was calling me day and night asking how to spell words! Once he called in the middle of the night and my husband just yelled out "spell check", "spell check"!!
So the next morning he called and asked "Gracie, would you please help me download spell check", so I did and the rest is history!

See Tommy, I think you owe me $1000, let me know how you wish to pay.

Trust me Gacie, if I ask you to download something on my behalf in the middle of the night it ain't gonna be "spell check".

Gacie. It's how someone with a lateral lisp (i.e. Elmer Fudd) would pronounce Gracie. :D
