Who's Who? [Archive]

I have been reading the post's of all the members. I notice that we have a married couple on the forum as well as a father and daughter. I wonder now, at the end of this American Idol year.....Who's Who?

I have a brother or sister on this forum....any guesses? I think its time to fess up and also see if we can figure out who's who, anyone care to play?

I have nobody on the forums. I am just a lonely boy who happened to wander in from the far side of the Pacific ocean. Malaysia is my home. It used to be called Malaya when the British were the masters of the land.

Much has changed since we gained independence back in 1957. Most of us speak and write the Queen's English here. So you can guess our bewilderment when we encounter the American system of English.

Malaysia is a land of plenty. There's much greenery here. It is hot 365 days a year. We have miles and miles of white sand, sun-kissed beaches which we constantly take for granted.

We have our own Malaysian Idol contest. It is one of those franchised spin-offs from the one that is currently held in America. The American Idol is beamed over to my country on the same day it appears over in the US.

Taylor Hicks has got a lot of fans in Malaysia, so have Katharine and Chris. Like everyone else we like to see our favourite singer wins but nobody can agree on who's the right one.

I am constantly bemused by the emotional outbursts over here in the forums over trivial subjects like whether Elliott or Paris should go this week, or whether Katharine has sung well last week and the feedback the subject generates.

It is quite normal to encounter such social behaviour because many of us are governed to a large extent by our emotions, rightly or wrongly.

The bottom line is we can a lot of fun watching other people making all kinds of comments on a subject matter that does not alter people's lives for better or for worse when it's all over.

I believe there are a lot of good people spread over the forums and like human beings all over the world, we wish each other the best and pray for everybody's well being. Am I not right?
