Okay. It was somewhat half-assed. But I'll accept Absent's apology as the first.

When I saw this posts title, I figured that Falsie was smoking way to much chiba. I linked to the Usa Today site he had and sure enough it was there. I did some websearch checking and apparently Idol Producers are going to change next weeks theme as a suprise to the contestants and to us the public. Now that this change has been leaked, I wonder if the show will stay with their original plan? I am really starting to wonder why I watch anymore. HOW STUPID DOES FOX THINK WE ARE?? This F'ing show has "Jumped the Shark"

people here have been suggesting all kinds of crazy themes for the show. Last week was love songs, and even though Bocelli was there he really didn't do anything besides plug his Amore album. They, (The Producers), have now taken the show to a new low in trying to pull this on us.

Each contestant will also be responsible for directing the arrangement, lighting, special effects and video screen display.

What? This seems like some sort of April Fool's joke, but it's not April 1. This should be a very interesting and bizarre show.

Wait a minuet FalseIdol, are you trying to punk us or have you been punked? Did anyone notice the disclaimer at the bottom of that supposed story that said, “Copyright 2006 This is NOT the USA Today. And now don't you feel silly for thinking (even for a moment) that it might be?” Also, did you notice that the tone of the piece got really weird near the end when it was talking about Kellie and then about Simon. The final reason I think this story is a hoax is that weird 209.97.207.228/Idol-polka.htm address for the story; USAtoday.com was not even in the address. Who ever put this USA Today parody together did a good job with the first half, but went over-the-top with the end. Ha, ha, funny stuff.

Ummm, no apology from me.... this is clearly a satirical piece. Nothing in it is true, but poking fun at AI is funny!!!!

What's messed up, is that there is a sick part of me that was hoping this was true. Roll out the barrels, baby!

Wait a MINUTE (are you happy now bub?) FalseIdol, you've got it all wrong, it's not polka and it certainly won't be Mozart's minuet's in the future. This Week's Theme is: songs from the year they were born & any song from this week’s Top 10 Billboard Charts. You can find the proof at Fox's site and TV.com:
http://www.idolonfox.com/
http://www.tv.com/american-idol/top-5-perform/episode/726416/summary.html
These are the years the contestants were born:
Taylor: 10/6/1976
Elliott: 7/20/1978
Chris: 12/26/1979
Katherine: 3/25/1984
Paris: 9/23/1988
This should give the contestants a good choice of what they want to do.

Sorry. My proof is better than your proof.
When the legendary accordionist Herb Schmenge appears tomorrow night remember who you heard it from first.
