First of all I am going to say that Adam is a very talented person and has a great voice....the thing I do not like is that he copies a different astists version of his songs almost every week...example this week...Muse/Feeling Good..I am not familiar with this group but just go to Google Video and type it in and listen...it is an almost identical version of what Adam did tonight...I am new but needed to post this somewhere and this seemed to be a nice site..also go to Adam's previous weeks songs and Google them also..the likeness of all of his performances to other contemporary artists is undeniable

Spazz they mostly all do that. Like last year when David Cook did the incredible version of Billie Jean. When Daughtry did the rock version of the I walk the line. However Adam somewhat followed Muse but sang it more rock and roll by far.

I agree with you 100% but that has nothing to do with the foolish fans that think this guy is the best thing since sliced bread....my point is that he does it every week...go look at every song he has done for the last 8 weeks and there is an exact version of it on Google or Youtube by some other contemporary/new wave artist....I know this is his niche but he is no better of a singer than remaining 5 but the judges do nothing but clamor about his originality...he is not that original...go back to the Muse video and the very beginning and listen to the music and then listen to his performance tonight...the arrangement is identical....so outside of copying someone elses version he is a decent singer

Then I think it would be the judges fault for not knowing the "contemporary" scene, I think... don't you think?

Spazz you have to be kidding about him being a decent singer. The notes he hits are insane. The screams or notes whatever you want to call them. Nobody can do that except for maybe Steven Tyler. Adam is so far above being a decent singer that idea just does not hold up. Do you really believe the other four are as good on the vocals as Adam????????

I think Adam is the contestant most connected to the music scene, but I think that's something to applaud.
If you compare Adam's version with the Muse version again, you'll find a lot of similarity, but you'll also find a lot of Nina Simone in there and some parts lifted straight out of George Michael's version. The previous version closest to Adam's is from My Brightest Diamond.
The point is that all performers look for inspiration and ideas. Any song from the "Rat Pack" has been covered by 100 artists in 100 ways. Anyone singing those songs today is going a lot of ideas to sift through. If the other contestants don't bother do their research, we can't really fault Adam for it.

What Adam proved last night was that he can act and scream at the same time.
IMO David Cook is a more rounded performer than Adam is.
Put Adam where he can do his thing best, musical theater.

Welcome to the forum Spazz....
The good thing about this forum is everyone can post their opinion without being criticized for it and i don't care for Adam he will probably end up back on Broadway someday soon hopefully sooner rather than later..

Well, either way I think America is starting to get the drift after last nights voting..Adam is not that great and whomever said that he hits certain note like Steven Tyler is totally nuts...Adam's notes are a scream and I have to turn down my volume

IMO he is too shrill but there are a lot of people who like him and his kind of music I think we may be in the minority...

I said that Adam hits notes like Steven Tyler and he does so with ease. Hopefully name calling such as "totally nuts" will be beneath the dignity of us in this forum. If I have made any comments like that I apologize and will try to make sure I never do it again. The haters on Adam are all about the scream thing. Adam actually is technically at least as good and possibly a better singer than Steven Tyler. It is doubtful that he will be able to make music as good as Aerosmith.
Listen to the note 1 minute and 40 seconds into his performance of "Feeling Good". He holds it for about 12 seconds perfectly. Now some don't like to call it a scream because they notice the perfection of the note and they think of screaming as a negative. I have always loved screaming in songs since Alice Cooper and my favorite Christian Artist Larry Norman so I call it a scream but just one that happens to be perfect.

I understand why it bothers people. It pisses me off when singers with heavy vibrato shake their lower jaw to excentuate it. It is totally fake and does nothing to help the technique, but whatever. I am sure people think the same thing about Adam's tounge thing, but it really does work, it just looks a bit strange.

Looks like ease to me Hangnail. My point about Adam is some need to strain to hit the notes and it just seems to come easy to Adam. He has the vocal skills to be a huge star if people are still interested in Rock and Roll and he can find some good songs to sing.

Classic Rock and Roll might be dying but it isn't dead. Matchbox 20 is a recent (within the last ten years =s recent to me) band doing basic Rock and Roll. Evanescence might be slightly Goth, but to me they are basically a Rock and Roll band. I could name a few others.

He was just an @$$ straight up! Apparently he was married with two daughters, but he flirted with every chick on IM, professing love to them, trying to talk dirty. He was a backwards racist, and apparently a small little bald man, from the pics he sent to some of the ladies. The best bit! The dude could not keep a job. He had like 8 jobs for the 3 years he was on here, and they were menial jobs, really sad crap, like kitchen staff at crappy chain restaurants and grunt at Home Depot. And yet, he still could not seem to hang on to a single one. His poor wife. His poor daughters.
Plus, he was banned upwards of 20 times, but his sad little life kept trying to come back, like thwarting the mods and getting back on this site was his great accomplishment in life. Again, his poor wife, and poor daughters!

He was nice to me in the beginning but as soon as I became friends with K4E the gloves came off...
BTW he loves
to post pics of beautiful ladies
He loves Elvis
The Cubbies
The Celtics
The Bears
and yes he loves to flirt with the ladies all of them I guess it has something to do with the fact that his wife is soooo much older than him and he is my age..

Hmm, so this Rushdog guy couldn't land anything, but minimum wage jobs, and couldn't even keep them. Supposedly, he had 8 job in three years. I wonder how he could afford a computer, internet, and have a family. I'm guessing he had some sort of home to maintain. I don't know, that would be hard to do, on minimum wage.
Maybe he had something else going on, who knows?
Other than that, you're saying he loved sports, women, and Elvis. That sound pretty normal to me. Whenever I meet a guy that doesn't like sports, or women, I think that's like totally weird.
As far as being married to some older chick, well when I was 20, I dated this chick, who was 35. She was a total hottie. She taught me alot of things.

Everyone should look at DialIdol's geopredictions--breakdown of busy signals by state. It probably means nothing, but if it has any merit, Kris gets his support from the South, Danny and Allison from all over the place, and Adam only from Michigan!! Everyone in Michigan must be voting for him. I'm hopeful for Allison because she gets votes from California which won't have appeared completely at the time I'm writing this. Boy I hope we can keep her around at least one more week, but it's been a nice run for a great gal.

If Dial Idol has their stuff together at all this week Adam will actually win the vote so if they maintain a bottom three than he won't be in it. Danny has a large edge over Kris and Allison. I so hope Kris is gone. Nice enough guy but not that good of a singer. If Allison does stick around Simon is saying the duet with Adam probably did it.
