Not many comments on this use of the save. I think it's a disaster! As Simon said, Matt has zero chance of winning this thing, so they put us and the contestants through the agony of singing disco (groan!) and then dump two of them on the basis of that flimsy measure of ability. Wouldn't it be cool if Adam, Danny, and Allison were in the bottom three next week? That would pretty much end the show. I have no idea what these judges were thinking, probably nothing, and that's the problem. I really like Matt better than Lil or Anoop, but none of them is worth a save. Disco will be a train wreck.....which I just can't miss. lol

I would rather have a fifties rock and roll theme.

Disco week is ok, its better than ABBA week, we always end up with that over here in the UK, and nobody can sing their songs very well.

Abba would be difficult....How many hits did they have anyway?

Masses, a whole double cd's worth of singles! We usually have an Abba week and its always a train wreck. One week that we had on our first Pop Idol season, which I felt was very successful, was Bacharach and David week...

Wow I am only familiar with 4 or 5 Abba songs they are from Sweden aren't they? The songs I am familar with are "Dancing Queen, Take A chance On me and Mama Mia" that's only 3 songs...I must have been living under a rock...

Waterloo was their first big hit, they won Eurovision 1974 with it.
Does your Mother Know, Chiquitita, The Name of the Game, The Winner Takes it All, Gimme a man after midnight, Voulez Vous, SOS, Knowing Me Knowing You, Ring Ring, Fernando.
Kim have you seen the film Mamma Mia? its an absolute riot, Julie Walters is hysterical!! I loved the stage show, saw that twice, and I've seen the film numerous times, bought the dvd, and the book.. its great!

One thing I have to say about Mama Mia. I liked it but it proved once and for all that Pierce Brosnan can't sing.

Well when you have driven across the state of Texas 7 hours doesn't seem that long...But you have school and you must study so that you can graduate and then get your masters..BTW it took us 17 hours to drive across Texas that was a long and boring drive...
For a movie it's quite the drive...I had better stop while I am ahead..

Kim, buy ABBA Gold, and clean your house to it! You will lose 5 lbs., have a spotless home, and feel very happy!

Will Susan Boyle sing Dancing Queen?
they should have an Andrew Lloyd Weber week like they did for american idol last year..

on Britain's got Talent, they don't have theme weeks as not everybody sings, its just the same as America's Got Talent. Our version of Idol is called X Factor, but it is slightly different in that the 4 judges each 'mentor' a category of act. There are girls age 16-24, boys age 16-24, mixed over 25s and groups. We have the theme weeks on that, and my fave week everytime is Big Band week! I love Big Band!!!
