Awww, I loved the "Journey through Idol" clips of Scott. He made that basket, nothin' but net, and they all started cheering and jumping up and down. He seems like such a nice guy.

Exactly, and the competition's getting pretty tight so I'd hate to have 2 of them on the chopping block and have no Judges' Save... It's bringing back horrible memories, a la Chris Daughtry... :smilies3:

i commend simon on veto-ing the save. it was a hard call but it had to be done. scott had two more weeks tops... he's a great guy, he has a lot of fans and he will have more b4 the tours over. he will have a career doing what he loves... but he would not have won idol... i also have to say that if lil doesn't come through next week there will be serious doubts of using the veto for her either. one last comment even tho anoop had a good week i don't think the judges would have even conferred he would have been gone.

I still think this save thing is a huge fraud. There wasn't one chance in Hell that they would waste it on Scott, so why all the drama? I suspect, as I think most of you do, that they expect to use it on one of the two girls or Danny, and that's about it. No chance that Adam goes before two more of the contestants bite the dust. Even if Lil doesn't bring her A-game, she's still much more talented and exciting than most of the guys. I agree that she hasn't developed in the competition, but you could say that about everyone else except Allison and Adam.

I just don't get it. :confused: All throughout the auditions, Hollywood Week, and the first couple of shows, Lil kept her personality. She was feisty, very likeable and relatable, and she had this spark in her eyes, like, "I'm fierce, I know I can sing, and I am going to win this competition; y'all better watch out!" I haven't seen that "spark" in her for a few weeks now. It's like she's lost who she really is or lost confidence in herself or has given up. I'm sure being away from your husband and children is very disheartening, but she can't just concede or throw in the towel.
I remember watching her in all the video clips at the beginning of the season, talking about her family having to live in a hotel, how strong her marriage is, how much she loves her children, and how she wanted soooo badly to win this to better all of their lives. She spoke with a certain hunger. That drive seems to be diminishing, if not completely burned out.
She needs to recenter herself, refocus on what she wants, and get back on track. If she truly wants this for herself and her family, she needs to be Lil again... not just an empty shell of who she was in the beginning.

I didn't realize that if they use the Wild card it meant double elimination for the next week.

I think the judges were being kind to Scott by having a serious discussion on whether they would save him or not. They had no intention of doing so but wanted to give him the respect of going through the motions. I think they genuinely liked him and respected him. Lil Rounds has the talent but needs direction. She could be a phenomenal singer if someone coached her, directed her. It's kind of a drag that Adam is the crowd favorite as it makes the show kind of dull for me now. We all know he'll win. He's good but I want some mystery to who will win it. I hope Allison belts out some amazing stuff in the next few weeks to steal more thunder.

If they use the save it will be a double elimination the following week...I would rather they don't use it unless of course for some insane reason Allison is voted off and I highly doubt that Adam will get the boot...

right now they will only use it for adam...... they will probably use it in the last week it is still in play.. just for fun.
they won't need it for adam.

I think that's the big problem with the save right there. If Lil needs saving, then Allison beat her fair and square. Now the judges can choose to give her another chance. The problem is that the next week's theme might fit Lil better and then Allison gets dumped, potentially for being second lowest. In my opinion, that's unfair.

Exactly and I hope they don't use the save!!! It's so far into the competition now I don't think that they will need to use it..I believe that the voting public will get it right besides VFTW is backing Lil now...
