YES!

I was baffled.

Simon spoke up and said "I need to apologize to one contestant for last night....for not getting the proper appraisal...and that was Katharine"

not VERBATIM..but this is what he meant.

I was just happy they did a second thought.

*****

Here's what he said VERBATIM. :)

"I think I was unfair to one person last night, and I want to apologize because I don't think this person got the right appraisal...and that person is Katharine."

"Well you know it sound different when you watch it back"

RANDY

"Too harsh"

Paula

"I'm never harsh"

********

They got some "calls", and I smiled with satisfaction.

Ryan brought it up at the beginning of the show.

So did Kellie get the boot????

Yes she did! It's about time that America started voting for the talent and not the cuteness... Kellie has skills, but in my opinion other had more, and the decision was right on the money... My faith has been restored! :)

I'm thankfull that Elliott is finally getting recognition for being so talented... I was very excited to hear that Taylor and he were safe...

What kind of "calls" did they get?

McFeverish.....

Well Ryan told the audience that a quite a few calls were made to the studio about unfairness.

I don't know "who" called...but it must have been either someone famous...or a LOT of people.

The calls from people who actually think it matters what the judges said about Katherine.

Mostly, I'm guessing, not the type of people you would want to spend much time with in real life.

Well, I'm glad to have faith (at least for this week :)) in the American voting public! Over 42 MILLION VOTES!

I would never have thought that people actually would call Fox and complain about what the judges had to say!
But what happened to the "conspiracy theory"? Did the judges find out that America was onto them, so they went back on what they said to cover up their secret plan to oust Katharine???

Oh, man. We all sound so silly. I don't know who has the private number for AI... Maybe a whole bunch of famous people with exclusive access all ganged up and called! Now THAT's a conspiracy theory! I love your posts, Gracie Mae!

I love yours too! When I'm on the computer sometimes I will just start laughing over something someone said, I'll try to explain it to my husband and he will say "that's not funny" which makes me laugh harder, he has no idea!

Ditto! My husband never understands why I make a mad dash to the laptop on Tues and Wed nights. He's just like, "Oh, Lord. Here we go. I'll be in the living room watching a movie by myself. Again." And he never understands why I get tickled or mad or anything. Gotta love 'em, though!
:p

PS - I love Charleston. Everything down there is named Ashley! And I love eating at the Trowler (sp?) restaurant.

I can relate to both of you, musiclover and graciespeaks. My husband puts up with alot, poor thing. When Randy was 'first' to bash Katharine, it's like he (Randy) could hear me or something - I said, "Whatever! (stuck him the bird (finger) *#%& you, Randy!!" and my husband looked at me and said, "Oh my God...." Then Paula......then Simon......I couldn't believe! I thought she gave a stunning performance! And I told my husband, "They're full of sh _ _! They're doing it on purpose - to get people to not vote for her! Well, I'm going to give her some and I hope she proves them wrong!" And that's just what she did! Good for her! (Now my favorite favorite is Taylor, but I've always liked Katharine, too - like so much better than Kellie! And then AFTER THE FACT, Simon apologizes - go figure! I was, needlessly to say, very satisfied with the results! Taylor WASN'T in the bottom 2 and Kellie was the one to go!
