AMERICAN IDOL GETS STEAMY
American Idol is getting really nasty this season.
The talent contest has always made fun of the not so talented that only want their dreams of stardom on TV.
Now it seems those contestants are coming in for ridicule. Bounced contestants have been quick to anger back at the judges. We are in a new era of contestants that simply will not stand for this type of ridicule by the judges.
Many of the contestants don’t want to settle for the 15 seconds of fame. They want that big record deal with album sales that soar. They just want a career that is going to last.
Seems like weight and sexuality are favorite targets, as in previous seasons. Just like the school yard has and now American Idol has, The dreaded horrible school yard bully has come back with a vengeance.
In last week’s Chicago audition a man with a high-pitched voice got Simon’s horrible advice. That advice was to shave off his beard and to try wearing a dress.
In the Denver audition Randy couldn’t hide his surprise that a slightly built, longhair contestant was male or female.
That’s why I say this season has really gotten ugly. But stay tuned because auditions are not over yet. Next week we move on to Las Vegas.

There sure are freaks, and singers put into the mix. But it wouldn’t be the same without the rejects.
