At the end of the Tuesday nights show Ryan Seacrest announced that American Idol will have a huge announcement on Thursday. Want to know what it is??? In an *off the record* phone conversation late Tuesday night an Idol staff member said “I cannot go into details but the announcement has to do with a social issue in Africa.”
So after this conversation we did some research and this is what we found. American Idol is teaming up with Bono and going to Africa, so to speak, to help women and children with HIV/AIDS.
Here is quote from an Interview that Chuck Ross at TelevisionWeek did with American Idol’s executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe.
TVWeek: OK, and last thing, and I don’t mean to embarrass you, and please if you don’t want to answer this, feel free, but we’ve gotten a lot of emails and a lot of folks said ask him this, so I’m going to go ahead and ask you, that maybe the big news is that Paul McCartney is coming on the show, so I’ll throw it out there.
Mr. Lythgoe: No, the big news is not about an individual. I’ve been asked about that, if Paul McCartney’s coming on the show-no. Does that mean Michael Jackson’s coming on the show? No. We gave out last night all the stars that are coming on the show.TVWeek: Right, I heard all that, yes.
Mr. Lythgoe: But no, I’m so sorry that I can’t talk about it. It’s so annoying and I know I started the tease of it so I’m silly to myself. But it is something very special, and I did say it does involve “American Idol” and it also involves America. It involves the viewers, it involves a whole big issue here. It’s something that I know we’re all very proud of. We’re going to be the first program that will talk about this sort of thing and well, it will have to wait until next time. But I can’t wait to tell you.TVWeek: My guess.

Last week Bono was guest at a symposium put together by Time Warner where he mentioned American Idol is going to Africa.
Here’s a scoop! American Idol will soon go to Africa to become its usual sensation there. This pearl of wisdom dropped from the lips of the one and only Bono.
Asked if he is a fan of America’s hottest TV show and if he watches it, Bono laughed; “No, but I will now!”
So we get to find the detailed information on Thursday.

I don’t get it. What does American Idol gain by parasitically attaching itself to African aids relief? This makes no sense.

WOW! Idol in Africa! First Oprah and now Idol. It all makes sense now.
They think they are doing a great thing by giving aid to Africa with the rest of the stars. They have no idea the problems they cause and make matters worse in Africa. The richer get richer and poor stay poor. They want to help with education, but they get them enough education to make them think they are smart. When the blacks take control in the government they do not have a clue on what needs to be done the people dont’t get helped, the country falls apart,as the infrastructor breaks down. The black in Africa are truly animals, they control there population by genocide, and disease, and americans think they can help and only make matters worse. South Africa was a great country until aparteid ended, now the countries infrastructor keeps decline, as the black that are put into power are uneducatable, lazy, as simply can’t handle the job.
People that read this probably think i am a racist, I only speak from first hand experience. Americans, specially Hollywood stars need to stay out of Africa. They think it improves there image by try to help, however they make matters worse. Zimbabwe is now nothing, tey white farmers were made to leave or killed, and land given to the blacks then, and now sits idle while the country starves. they simply can’t run there own country.
Let Africa be Africa, let the blacks control there population by genocide, disease, and fighting. Just like the wild animals of Africa. Stay out of africa for god’s sake.
