American Idol Results & Lady Gaga Again?

The American Idol Results & Lady Gaga Again?

Okay seriously how many times is Lady Gaga going to be on American Idol this season? (More about this later).

The show got underway with a group performance that I actually enjoyed. For the most part I always enjoy watching what the group delivers well as just that a group. However, it seems like the guys in this season aren’t much for dancing and if they had more choreography to do they would be in big trouble.

We did learn thanks to Ryan Seacrest that next week’s theme will be “Songs of the Cinema”. That should be an interesting show since the songs could be from almost any year or movie. The Ford Video was something that I really enjoyed since the American Idol contestants had to sing “1-2-3-4” which is normally sung by Plain White T’s. They did an awesome job and with the video being simple they couldn’t have asked for better results.

This week’s theme was Sinatra songs which honestly I am not a fan of but at least most of them did a good job for the most part. The first person who was told they were safe from elimination was Lee DeWyze who was more than happy to take a seat.

Then we got to see an awful taped performance by Lady Gaga. Does anyone know exactly how many times her face has been seen on American Idol this season? I am starting to wonder if there is something going on with her and Simon Cowell! Her outfit was totally creepy and she really can’t sing very well. Now I know she’s huge on the market today but I am still trying to figure out why. Her dancing is okay but that is about all she has going for her. Is her “talents” even appropriate for a family show that small children are watching? Okay enough about her.

One of the favorite parts of the night was when we got to see clips of Harry Connick Jr.’s mentoring which showed his funny side. I really enjoyed when he sang a song from his latest album, “And I Love Her”. Then another group performance took place with all of the of the American Idol contestants singing songs by Harry Connick Jr. which only shows how great he really is. Maybe they can allow him to guest star on the show more to replace Lady Gaga. Who would be in favor of that?

So anyways back to the eliminations. Seacrest split the 4 remaining contestants into groups of two, Aaron and Mike in one group, and Casey and Crystal in another. When Lee was asked to pick the safe group he replied no. So who was deemed as safe? Crystal and Casey were sent to safety which left Aaron and Mike as the bottom two. So the results are in and unfortunately Aaron Kelly was sent packing. He sang his “Fly Me to the Moon” which will be his last performance on the stage as an American Idol contestant. Hopefully we will see him in the future performing on the stage as the upcoming start that he is.

We now have our final 4 and as the contestants become less the anticipation only grows to see who this season’s winner will be. Make sure to keep checking back for new updates and we can only hope that Lady Gaga makes another appearance on next week’s show.

American Idol Results – April 28th 2010

Ryan seemed very chattery last night which actually kind of irked me because I was anxious to hear the results of the show. However, like always we had to sit through performances which were okay because they did at least have an excellent lineup for the night. One of my favorite bands of the night was Rascal Flats who sang “Unstoppable”.

Did you catch the Ford commercial which was done by the American Idol contestants? If not you missed out because this one was actual epic. It was what I considered a mixture of gothic and vampires. Siohban definitely pulled off the look well which means if she doesn’t land a singing career maybe she can do horror films? Who knows!
Anyways back to the performers of the night. So Carrie Underwood stopped by AGAIN except this time to mainly introduce a band that she has worked with for awhile now: Sons of Sylvia. Really what kind of name is that for a band?

One performance that was really awesome was by Lady Antebellum who performed, “Need You Now” which is currently one of her biggest hits. Rascal Flats and Shakira performed together which was a very odd combination which I didn’t really like.

Hotties of the night that stopped by for really no reason at all were Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas. They are both gorgeous stars so of course they make the stage shine even when they are doing nothing at all. I wonder if either of them can sing.

So I am not sure why I need to point this out but did anyone else notice how Kara’s earrings made her head look quite funny? I wished I could rewind my TV just so I could record her and laugh later.

Anyways so onto the really important stuff…Who was the bottom 3? That would be Casey James, Siobhan Magnus, and Michael Lynche who all totally deserved to be there. However, I can’t help but feel a little sorry for them making it this far and then standing in the bottom 3 wondering if they will be the one going home. So the first one to be relieved and sent back to safety was Michael Lynche or better known as Big Mike. So that left Siobhan Magnus and Casey James standing as the bottom two knowing that ultimately one of them was about to sent home.

Of course everyone at home is holding their breath hoping that specific person that they dislike of the two is the one going to be sent home. I know that everyone was doing just that because so was I. I honestly was expecting Casey to be sent home and was surprised when Ryan called Siobhan’s name. This of course meant Casey is safe for at least another week.

I never really noticed any emotion in her face once she learned that she would be the one going home but at least she sang her last performance with dignity. She seemed as though she enjoyed herself.

So there you have it the results for this week’s American Idol. Who will be going home next week? I can’t wait to find out!

American Idol – Who went home? What happened?

The results are in and someone did go home but what else happened on American Idol?

Ryan Seacrest who has become one of the faces of American Idol opened the show with a short video of President Obama and beautiful First Lady. The couple verbally addressed their appreciation and support for Idol Gives Back and encouraged fans to get involved by donating to all of the causes.

The very talented and well liked singer/actress Queen Latifah hosted Idol Gives Back located at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium which was packed with a crowd who screamed of excitement.

The top twelve were united again for a group performance. Messages that began with the lovely Jennifer Garner who visited the extreme poverty stricken areas of the Appalachian Mountains. Victoria Beckham also appeared on the stage accompanied by her two children who listened as their mom discussed the poverty in Eastern Kentucky. Idol Gives Back has donated various necessities including food books, clothing, and other main essentials that families need.

The funny guys Russell Brand and Jonah Hill (comedians) brought a bit of much needed light-heartedness to the serious night. For the event they jokingly organized a high profile celebrity phone bank. Later well known Las Vegas comedian George Lopez provided the audience with even more laughter when he decided to judge the American Idol judges instead of the contestants. Also messing with the judges was Wanda Sykes.

Ryan Seacrest’s latest trip to Africa where he discussed the dangerous but preventable disease Malaria aired for the entire cast and crew to see live. By using mosquito nets it can prevent many from becoming sick and dying.

Celebrity performances of the night included Carrie Underwood and Alicia Keys. Another highlight of the night happened when an all star group which consisted of Orianthi, Mary J. Blige, Steve Vai, Travis Barker, and Randy Jackson who performed “Stairway to Heaven” which received a standing ovation.

Other important news targeted for Idol Gives Back included Simon Cowell’s update on Dr. John who travels around town on a bus to treat children who can’t afford to be treated. There has been over $15 million raised thanks to Save the Children and Idol Gives Back. Ellen DeGeneres who traveled along with David Arquette tee recently visited an area in California that have many individuals who are struggling to make ends meet on a daily basis. This is just a small portion of what American Idol Gives Back is doing and has done for many cities around the U.S. and International.

Of all of the excitement the real anticipation came when the bottom three where announced. While the last few contestants are usually considered the cream of the crop eventually everyone has to go. The bottom three was revealed which left Aaron Kelly, Tim Urban, and Casey James standing. After a few words Casey James and Aaron Kelly were both declared safe for the week meaning it would be Tim Urban who would be going home after receiving the lowest number of votes for the night.
Who will be going home next week? Who will be the 2010 American Idol winner? We are close to finding out.

Home decor ideas that are inexpensive

There are many great ways to decorate your home but its certain things that put you over the top when it comes to being the best. Usually when you are decorating for your outside sitting area you should have many things that compliment each other. A great way to draw attention and make your area a bit more peaceful would be to bring in wind chimes. These will allow your garden to have a bit of serenity and tranquility.

Your garden decor is a huge key to having a great outdoor area. You want to have central pieces that are technically called “conversational pieces”. You should always try to practice great ways to find inner peace and if you have a good collection of these ideas you can potentially do this. Be sure that you are getting a good deal on all your items because you don’t want to spend to much and not get bang for your buck.

How to Gain Friends in Real Life

Friends can have a large influence on a person’s life. Often times, individuals feel they are alone when they only have a small group of people they can call friends. To avoid getting depressed because of your lack of friends, let’s get you in the mindset to make new ones. Gaining new friends in real life can be as easy as being yourself and starting conversations with people you regularly interact with.
So here is the first step. You have to get up and get out. Don’t sit around all day watching T.V. and browsing the web. The only way to meet new people… is to get out and meet new people. If for some reason the people you normally interact with don’t have what you are looking for in a friend, you have quite a few options to go with.
Get a hobby.
Obviously you would want to choose something that gives you the chance to network and be sociable. As long as you can talk at length about the given topic, you will always have likeminded people to talk with.
Join a league.
Bowling leagues, baseball leagues, golf leagues. There are plenty of choices out there. Just pick your favorite one and join up. You get the chance to talk with other teams, as well as fans and teammates. The competition itself will form bonds between teammates, and the competitions can always be used as stories to refer back to when you are around your new friends.
Get involved in clubs
There are a number of social clubs that have the single purpose of bringing together people with something in common. Whether it is a shared language, heritage, or common interest, these are great places to bring likeminded people together. Don’t have anything to offer on the subject? It won’t take you long to study and learn all you need to know.

Now that you have some places to meet people, it is time for you to learn how to act. There are certain ways of communicating that allow for further interactions. When trying to make friends, this is a key aspect to target. Having people to talk to at a certain place, and having friends to call on and go out with are completely different things. You have to put out the vibe, be nice, and watch the magnetic aura of your personality shine.
Introduce yourself
If you’re out in public and you see someone that you may want to get to know more, and potentially become friends with, then just go up to them and introduce yourself. Any public place is a great place to meet new friends. Don’t be shy, because you may find out that you can be gaining a good friend. Conversations can be started out of nothing at all, so please don’t start making excuses about why you can’t approach total strangers. If you stay in that mind set, they will always be just strangers.
Leave a little out
When you first meet someone, don’t tell them your entire life story. Only give information that will seem pertinent at the time like the basics (name, age, hobbies, work, school, etc). Things like you job problems, your family troubles, the fact you’re friendless, homeless or any other less than desirable traits are things that can be left for another time.
Be friendly and smile
People are always more approachable when they smile. Obviously, when trying to gain more friends you need to be friendly. Talk in a light tone, add input where appropriate in a conversation, and be an overall asset to the group. Try not to be a one upper. Everyone has a story about something, but some people seem to have a better story for everything. Let others tell their story, and keep your amped up version for another time.
Use your best attributes to show exactly how fun you can be. Add a little humor to the conversations. Add input that isn’t forthcoming from the rest of the group. Basically you are advertising yourself, so make sure you show your best side. Hopefully with a little luck and a bit of work, you can have all the friends you would ever need.
