Sarah Buxton Biography Sarah Buxton is the newest face to the country world. Sarah hails from Lawrence, Kansas. Sarah grew up playing in local establishments and the more she performed she began learning the song writing side while enjoying writing poetry. Growing up Sarah's idols were the likes of Stevie Nicks who she had the honor to meet after her graduation. Sarah was inspired by Stevie and headed off to Nashville to pursue her career even farther. After moving to Nashville, she enrolled in Nashville's Belmont University. She then started a southern rock band called "Stoik Oak" who toured the nation for three years. After this time, Sarah and her band parted ways. Sarah wished to further her career in music and writing. Sarah's good friend John Rich of the duo Big and Rich helped her with writing and her singing. One of her albums tracks "Love is a Trip" was used to promote ABC's drama series "Men in Trees". her single "Innocence" didn't do so well on the charts like she had dreamed. Sarah's debut album is going to be released sometime this year in 2007. Sarah has a contract with Lyric Street Records and they will be the ones she will be releasing her album under. Sarah has not only been doing her own singing and song writing, but she has been a back up singer for many artists on their albums such as Kenny Rodgers album "Water and Bridges", Cowboy Troy's album "Loco Motive", and John Corbett's debut album as well.
