Quietdrive Biography Justin Bonhiver and Droo Hastings formed this band in 2002 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Justin and Droo became best friends growing up together and when they were in the 9th grade another friend, Brandon Lanier told Hastings that he was a great drummer and they should start their own band. Droo was the lead singer at the time and Brandon played the bass. They placed an ad on MP3.com for a lead singer and Kevin Truckenmiller posted his solo work, they listened to it, and asked him to audition for them. Kevin went to the audition, but only had a radio shack microphone so they set up for him to sing at a recording studio in a friend's basement. Of course, he was hired and became an important member of the band. They released their first album titled, "When All That's Left is You" on May 30, 2006. They signed with Epic Records. Their single from the album, "Rise from the Ashes" became a feature on EA's NHL 2007 soundtrack. They have been featured as Artist of the Month on Xbox Live in January 2007 and have now started to tour heavy around the Midwest. During an interview with Away-Team.com Kevin explained that they were rock and roll mixed with passion and some emotion and of course, the never-ending drive to succeed with all they do with their music and lives. He said, "That's kind of what the name is all about, that quiet drive within us all." Quietdrive Songs. MP3 & Video |
