Pitbull is a famous Cuban-American Rapper born Armando Christian Perez on January 14, 1981 in Miami Florida. He is also very well known by the nickname Lil’ Chico and Mr. 305.
Pitbull is seen and heard in a variety of music genre’s including hip-hop, crunk, hardcore hip-hop, Southern hip-hop, dancehall, and reggaeton.
This rapper did not hit the scene until 2004 with his debut album “M.I.A.M.I.” standing for Money is A Major Issue in August. He has been featured on various albums with other rappers such as Lil Jon Eastside Boyz’ Kings of Crunk in 2002 along with 2 Fast 2 Furious soundtrack in 2003.
“Culo” translated in English is “ass” is considered his breakout song which was a huge hit which had the collaboration of Lil Jon and was produced by Lil Jon and the Diaz Brothers.
Pitbull has released several mixtapes including “Unleashed Volume 6” which displays popular rap music and the Miami freestyle sound.
Albums released by Pitbull include M.I.A.M.I. released on August 24, 2004, which hit the Billboard 200 at 14, received RIAA certification Gold, and included singles “Culo”, “Toma”, and “Dammit Man.” “Money is Still A Major Issue” was released on November 15, 2005 with top selling singles “Everybody Get Up”. “El Mariel” was released on October 31, 2006, which hit the Billboard 200 at 17, sold over 200,000 copies, and included smash hits like “Bojangles”, “Dime/Tell Me”, and “Ay Chico”. “Boatlift” scheduled to be released in December of 2007 with singles such as “Go Girl”, “Secret Admirer”, and “Sticky Icky”.
